The game development studio responsible for the RPG series “GreedFall,” named Spiders, has reportedly undergone a wave of job cuts. Though an official statement from the studio is yet to be made, their lead animator, Erwan Perrin, has disclosed on LinkedIn that this round of lay-offs will affect the animation and rigging department.
Hello there! It appears that Perrin shared on LinkedIn that Spiders Games is implementing a layoff plan, similar to many other companies in the industry. This unfortunate situation will primarily impact their Animation and Rig teams. However, if you’re seeking skilled and passionate Animators or Rig Artists based in Paris, feel free to reach out to Perrin!
As of now, since the studio hasn’t disclosed any information, it remains a mystery what impact this has on both their upcoming projects and those already in progress, such as the Early Access launch of “GreedFall 2: The Dying World,” which debuted in September 2024.
The role-playing game titled “GreedFall 2: The Dying World” received its initial significant update in March, introducing a fresh region called Olima and a new ally named Safia hailing from the Bridge Alliance as a companion. For comprehensive insights about this game, you might want to revisit our Early Access review published when it was initially launched.
