What Does the Bugle in PEAK Do?

In PEAK, I managed to survive the harrowing plane crash, but that was just the beginning. The true test lies ahead as I find myself grappling with towering mountains adorned with treacherous cliffs and rugged terrain. It’s not just about scaling these peaks, though. I must also contend with poison, frostbite, and lethargy that threaten to hinder my progress at every turn. Fortunately, there are useful tools like the bugle to lend a helping hand in this survival ordeal.

In PEAK, there are three distinct types of horns, each offering unique assistance. The standard horn is usually encountered by players quite early on in their gaming journey. But what makes it special, and is it worth holding onto? Let’s delve into its uses and benefits.

What Does the Bugle in PEAK Do?

The Bugle serves as a tool for producing a certain sound. In situations where you find yourself lost or separated from your group, you can use the Bugle to signal your location to them. However, it doesn’t possess any abilities such as healing, curing status effects, or assisting with climbing tasks.

If you’re on a quest for badges, there’s one called “Animal Serenading”. To earn it, you need to play your Bugle to captivate capybaras. These creatures can be found lounging in the hot springs situated within the Alpine region. Approach them and sound your Bugle in their presence to accomplish the task. Upon completion, you’ll receive the Kril Hat as a reward.

Seeing as you’ve accomplished the feat, carrying the Bugle anymore seems unnecessary. It merely occupies space, and it would be more beneficial to utilize that spot for something more practical during your ascent.

How to Get Bugle in PEAK

Immediately following the plane crash, you’ll end up on what is known as the starting island. Make your way towards the wreckage site where you might discover items such as a compass, a Big Bong plush toy, and The Bugle, which will be located nearby. Despite PEAK’s map changing every 24 hours, this initial location remains constant, ensuring that you can always find The Bugle in that spot.

In the game PEAK, you’ll find two other Bugles: the Scoutmaster’s Horn and the Horn of Friendship. The Scoutmaster’s Horn is exclusively found in solo mode and is not for those with a weak constitution. When scouts blow this horn, it summons the Scoutmaster.

The Scoutmaster serves as a stern guide who could abruptly halt your ascent if you’re not cautious. Earning the Mentorship badge involves taking a risk with this figure.

In PEAK, one remarkable find is known as the Horn of Camaraderie. Blowing this horn temporarily grants unlimited stamina to your entire team. You can discover this item hidden within old travel trunks or statues scattered throughout the game.
