In Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, the Qua Nilus II was unveiled, an Adaptive Submachine Gun that revolves at 900 RPM. It serves as a versatile activity weapon accessible to all players. If you haven’t found a strong Strand SMG yet, this could be your go-to choice. The Qua Nilus excels in close combat, and with the right upgrades, it can become an essential piece in any Guardian’s inventory.
In simpler terms, this guide highlights some top-notch builds for the Qua Nilus II that avid players should keep an eye on while they’re gathering it. Even though it might not be as adaptable as the Ahab Char in Destiny 2, for all those who adore submachine guns, this is definitely a weapon worth seeking.

Typically, the advantages offered in the first and second columns for Qua Nilus are a matter of personal preference. However, we suggest opting for attachments that boost your weapon’s Range stat, such as Muzzles and Magazine upgrades. This setup allows you to take on enemies from greater distances without experiencing a substantial decrease in damage output.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but appreciate the exceptional benefit that Encore brings to my Qua Nilus II. After each precise kill, this perk enhances the weapon’s range, stability, and accuracy – a combination that truly elevates my gameplay experience. To add to this, the Hatchling perk adds an exciting layer, as it spawns Threadlings following every precision or rapid kill with my weapon. These synergistic perks really enhance my enjoyment and success in the game!
Slicing is another excellent choice. Once you trigger your class skill, your weapon will afflict a debuff named Sever on any target it strikes. This Strand debuff reduces the damage enemies inflict, enhancing your survivability and allowing you to capitalize on any effect that targets under the influence of Darkness.
In Destiny 2, Proximity Power is an excellent choice if you prefer a build focusing on melee attacks. This perk enhances your melee capabilities when you’re close to enemies. When paired with the perk Surrounded, it significantly increases the damage output from both your melee abilities and the Qua Nilus II. If you don’t favor Surrounded, Swashbuckler can serve as a suitable substitute instead.
Destiny 2 Qua Nilus PvP God Roll
Certainly, the Qua Nilus isn’t as effective in Player versus Player (PvP) compared to PvE, and numerous Submachine Guns, such as the one from the Desert Perpetual raid, tend to perform better in the Crucible. Nevertheless, if you’re determined to employ this weapon against other players, a maximum Range roll with Encore and Swashbuckler should provide decent performance for you.
In a 6v6 Crucible game, an Encore/Swashbuckler role can help you gain an advantage over time as long as you’re able to come out on top in your battles consistently. For situations in 3v3 modes or if you prefer a Qua Nilus II PvP roll with better reliability, opt for one with Dynamic Sway Reduction instead of Encore.
