Upcoming Silent Hill Project Receives Promising Update After Developer Rebrand

The enigmatic project titled “Silent Hill: Townfall,” previously handled by No Code, has received an unexpected update from its newly rebranded developer. Originally based in Scotland, the team confirmed their new identity as Screen Burn. Previously, No Code represented the team’s mission to create games without a coder, but they have since hired several coders who are now integral parts of the team. The rebranded team is still diligently working on “Townfall,” much to the delight of fans.

Fans of gaming and horror genres will undoubtedly recognize the renowned survival series, Silent Hill, developed under Konami. This game franchise, which has received countless praises, boasts a dedicated fanbase, multiple spin-offs, and live-action film adaptations based on its first four main installments. Notably, a recent update revealed that the creator of Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama, is working on a new game. His upcoming project aims to expand the capabilities of Bokeh Game Studios following this year’s Slitterhead, which underperformed financially despite achieving cult status.

In a recent blog post, Screen Burn announced updates regarding their rebranding efforts and used the phrase “End of Act 1, Beginning of Act 2.” The team has been diligently working on the game Townfall since the lockdown period began, and they continue to do so today. They described the development process as a gradual, intricate construction of a haunting experience. Although progress might seem slow for both the team and fans, Screen Burn expressed their eagerness to reveal more details soon. They acknowledged the anticipation from fans of the Silent Hill IP and asked for patience as they are a small team creating a substantial game. The last update for Townfall was released in October 2024, which caused some concern among the fanbase about the development’s progress.
