Grounded 2: How to Make the Omni-Wrench (Clay & Red Ant Part Locations)

In the hypothetical game “Grounded 2”, the Omni-Wrench is one of four types of the Omni-Tool. It empowers players to create items that would typically require a Workbench for crafting, when they otherwise lack this resource.

Discovering the Omni-Wrench doesn’t require much effort once you’re aware of its location and necessary items; however, for those unfamiliar with the setting and mechanics of Grounded 2, locating the needed resources might prove difficult.

How to Make the Omni-Wrench

The Omni-Wrench can be crafted at any Ranger Station with the following materials.

  • Raw Science x1,000
  • Clay x2
  • Red Ant Part x2

In various locations across the map, you’ll find Ranger Stations. However, the initial station players come across during the primary questline is situated within the Snackbar region.

In the early stages of play, the best method for gathering Raw Science is by successfully finishing Ranger Challenge quests.

How to Get Clay

As a fan exploring Brookhollow Park, I’ve discovered an effective way to gather Clay: using the Omni-Shovel on Clay deposits. These deposits are often found in wet or damp locations such as near ponds of water or in underground caves. In the early stages of the game, you can find Clay deposits behind the Ranger Station: Snackbar, specifically under the tree roots to the left of the broken window. Two more deposits can be unearthed by following the tunnel leading deeper to the pond, which eventually brings you back to the main park.

In the game “Grounded 2”, the Omni-Shovel isn’t automatically available; instead, you need to buy it as an upgrade at one of the Ranger Stations.

How to Get Red Ant Parts

As a gamer immersed in Grounded 2, I’ve learned that when you take down those pesky Red Ants, they drop their parts. The best spot to find these critters swarming is at an anthill, where they seem to multiply endlessly. Luckily, the most accessible anthill is the Snackbar Anthill, located just north of the Ominent Onboarding Facility – it’s the very spot where my character first awakens in this game.

Red ants generally behave peacefully unless provoked, allowing players to initiate interactions without fearing an immediate strong counterattack each time they approach.
