Destiny 2 Update Finally Fixes Ability Stat Bonuses on Armor

Bungie rolled out update 9.0.0.4 for Destiny 2, focusing on resolving multiple problems with The Edge of Fate, particularly addressing the vexing issue related to ability stats with armor. The debut of Bungie’s newest expansion for Destiny 2 hasn’t been flawless, but they’ve been consistently releasing updates nearly every week, aiming to rectify problems that have been affecting players.

For Bungie, “Edge of Fate” signifies a fresh chapter in the world of “Destiny 2”, as the game underwent significant modifications to various aspects, such as its armor systems and the way players embark on new activities through The Portal. Regrettably, the launch of the “Destiny 2” expansion encountered numerous problems, accompanied by a general decrease in player numbers. Post-release of “Edge of Fate”, Bungie has persisted in addressing some of the most pressing concerns voiced by the community, including a recent update that finally rectifies the annoying armor stats glitch.

In the latest upgrade, many Destiny 2 enthusiasts will notice significant alterations in armor. Previously, some players have faced issues with incorrect ability stats on their armor pieces. Originally, Bungie suggested that a minimum value of 70 would result in similar regeneration rates as before Edge of Fate. However, following thorough testing by dedicated community members, it was uncovered that players needed to reach a minimum of 85 to experience the regeneration benefits. This update finally rectifies this inconsistency for Super, Melee, and Grenade stats.

Apart from resolving several glitches affecting weapons and other game aspects, a significant aspect of this update revolves around ammunition. The Brick Scanner now works with the new ammo system, scanning the environment for players who are out of ammo and automatically picking it up for them. In addition to this, the New Land Beyond exotic weapon in Destiny 2 has had its PvP ammo increased from 1 to 2. Bungie has also confirmed that several special weapon types in PvE will receive an ammo boost, while certain exotics like Choir of One will see a boost in their base Ammo Generation stats.

During the update, Bungie is addressing concerns from fans about Destiny 2’s Desert Perpetual raid, but simultaneously dealing with a different issue. After the Contest Mode race, allegations of cheating surfaced, leading to Bungie conducting an investigation. Players found guilty have been penalized, resulting in some players observing their positions improving on the global leaderboard as dishonest players are eliminated.
