Starting on Tuesday, August 5th, subscribers of PlayStation Plus will be offered some extra free goodies along with their regular monthly free games. Every month, PlayStation Plus members from all subscription levels receive a selection of free games that they can keep forever as long as their subscription remains active. Usually, the free PS Plus games consist of three titles, but occasionally fans get additional bonuses too.
At times, the free games offered through PS Plus have been supplemented with an extra fourth game, either to mark an event or seemingly randomly. On other occasions, PlayStation Plus subscribers receive additional free bonuses in various forms, and this is exactly what’s happening for the August 2025 offerings.
In addition to the free games coming to PS Plus in August 2025, subscribers can also anticipate a collection of Avatars for the 15th Anniversary of PlayStation Plus on August 5. These avatars are being released to celebrate the PlayStation Plus 15th Anniversary event and will feature characters from popular games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Diablo 4, God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, and Twisted Metal. Best of all, these avatars are free to download starting on August 5. The exact duration they will be available or their appearance has not been disclosed yet. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers can expect more details once they become accessible.
