Before the launch of “Dynasty Warriors: Origins” in January 2025, the franchise was experiencing a decline. However, at approximately one minute into the trailer, it was disclosed that a significant downloadable content (DLC) is being developed for Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Given the overwhelming success of this series reboot, with over a million copies of Origins sold in less than a month, it’s no surprise that the company aims to continue the positive momentum by offering extra content. As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled about the 25th anniversary trailer unveiling plans for a remaster of an older Dynasty Warriors title! Although they haven’t specified which game will receive this treatment yet, the sequential graphic hints that it might be something from before Dynasty Warriors 8 or 9. Fans have long debated about their favorite in the series, but Dynasty Warriors 4 often tops the list. However, Dynasty Warriors 3 and 2 also garner significant praise and admiration, so any of these could be excellent choices for a remaster!
It remains uncertain what the DLC will offer or when it will be released. This year, developers confirmed that Omega Force canceled Dynasty Warriors 10 prior to Origins’ development, but incorporated some features from the scrapped project into the new game. With this background, the team might utilize the DLC to reintroduce elements from the canceled game or present entirely fresh content.
