He’s typically tasked with confronting the monstrous obstacles that other characters face on their odyssey through Wonderland. Kaze remains unaware of his past and lacks recollection about how he arrived in this fantastical realm. His sole purpose seems to be battling against the antagonist, Makenshi.

It is revealed that the post-apocalyptic world he is assigned to save is actually our own reality, while the world he once knew is something else entirely. Moreover, it is disclosed that Kyou has been grappling with a malevolent memory issue. Regrettably, “Zegapain” was somewhat overshadowed by other shows like “Code Geass,” which debuted in the same year and gained significant popularity.

This anime chronicles the adventures of Kenshi Masaki, the half-brother to Tenchi Masaki, who is unwillingly sent to another planet and offered freedom if he carries out a horrendous act. Unfortunately, he falls short and ends up in captivity.

Kenshi’s past memories are hidden, and his mother, Rea Masaki, who boasts a complex background linked to Geminar’s world, plays a significant role in the unfolding storyline. The narrative often offers comedic moments, delivering the typical fan service characteristic of a show like Tenchi Muyo. However, similar to Tenchi, Kenshi maintains his gentlemanly demeanor despite finding himself surrounded by an array of female admirers.

Transported To A New World With No Memories

.Hack//SIGN served as the precursor to the worldwide phenomenon known as Sword Art Online, with both sharing similarities in their narrative themes. In the former, we follow Tsukasa, a character who wakes up in a video game world without any recollection of his past or previous identity. A significant portion of the series revolves around his quest to uncover his true self.

In the grand scheme of things, .Hack//SIGN serves as the foundation for this expansive series, introducing us to its vast universe. The character Tsukasa is particularly strong, yet he’s being pursued by certain players within the game, causing speculation that he might be a hacker. This anime doesn’t shy away from exploring heavier topics; many of its characters have troubled pasts that are reflected in their lives outside the game.

In the 2022 isekai titled “Black Summoner,” we follow the journey of the protagonist, Kelvin, who ventures into another realm, relinquishing most of his recollections in favor of enhanced physical attributes. With his abilities already at a formidable level, Kelvin delves into the unknown, aiming to become even stronger and more intimidating.

If someone is expecting an anime about a summoner with strong summons and a protagonist merely controlling them, they might be let down since Kelvin turns out to be more of a fighter who enjoys combat instead. However, despite this twist, the series is still captivating, managing not to rely too much on any one aspect, making it ideal for binge-watching. The graphics are entertaining, and there are exciting action scenes sprinkled throughout as well.

Accompanied by the goddess, Ristarte, who summoned him, they now embark on a mission to protect the world.

Eventually, it becomes clear that Seiya has amnesia. In a surprising plot development, it is disclosed that Seiya’s cautious nature stemmed from the fact that he had been summoned before, acted recklessly at that time, and failed his mission disastrously. Ristarte, who appears to have been reborn as a goddess, also lacks memories of this past event. This unexpected revelation added a sense of gravity to what had previously been a light-hearted comedy.

However, after befriending a charming slime named Sora, Ivy embarks on a journey to collect trash, eventually transforming her circumstances and teaching valuable lessons about self-worth and resilience. This heartwarming tale showcases the power of perseverance and the bond between humans and their tamed creatures.

In the anime “The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash,” Ivy’s character has a distinctive trait where her amnesia is subtly hinted at throughout the series, suggesting a past life she can’t recall, and this past self serves as a sort of inner voice. While some powerful individuals join forces to explore the new world as adventurers, Haruhiro and his weaker peers must struggle to survive on their own in this unforgiving new realm.

Haruhiro unexpectedly steps into a leadership role after Manato, his group’s trusted leader, passes away. Despite feeling unready for this position, he shows a great deal of empathy. This series stands out by portraying ordinary individuals in an isekai world authentically. Over time, Haruhiro works hard to develop himself personally and as a leader. Unfortunately, this underrated show doesn’t receive the recognition it deserves due to its exceptional quality.
