In the current phase of Grounded 2, the selection of weapons is somewhat restricted due to the fact that players can’t currently upgrade their Omni-tool beyond tier-2, which is necessary for harvesting scarce resources. However, during this waiting period before new weapons arrive in future updates, there are a few hidden weapons for players to discover and collect.

One Grounded 2 Early Game Weapon Is Rated ‘E’ For Everyone
On the hardest setting of Grounded 2, minor variations in a weapon’s attributes can be pivotal for survival during any battle, making it essential for players to acquire robust equipment swiftly. Concerning the hidden weapons within Grounded 2, while they could theoretically serve as effective early-game options, they are generally unattainable without advanced Omni-tool upgrades in the late game. The Mosquito Needle sword stands out here, being one of the most obtainable early-game weapons that remains surprisingly effective even in the later stages of the game.

Grounded 2’s Mosquito Needle Gives Players a Lasting Upgrade
Although this sword falls under the category of tier-2 weapons, it can be constructed surprisingly early in the game, even before players venture beyond Brookhollow Park’s initial Snackbar area. As its name implies, the Mosquito Needle is crafted upon defeating a mosquito, and fortunately, you can find two of these pesky insects right beside the Hatchery Anthill at the North Entrance POI.

In the initial encounter with airborne pests in Grounded 2, players may feel overwhelmed, but the game’s precise parrying mechanism makes dealing with mosquitoes a breeze. Generally, aerial adversaries exhibit more obvious attack patterns and appear to be easily stunned. A well-timed parry often stuns a mosquito, making it susceptible to multiple subsequent attacks, leading to a swift defeat.

As a gamer, I find that even when my character dies in the early stages of the game, there aren’t many significant repercussions. This makes the experience still an exciting and valuable adventure to embark upon.
Grounded 2’s Mosquito Needle Makes Late Game Difficulty a Cake Walk
The Mosquito Needle stands out due to its lifesteal feature, which restores health to players when they strike enemies. This passive healing is indeed transformative, but it’s not the only advantage of this sword. In the game Grounded 2, the Mutation sword attachment lets your attacks momentarily reduce an enemy’s damage. With these two functionalities, this one sword offers a convenient health boost for you, while also offering a debuff that can benefit your teammates. Additionally, the weapon’s base damage can be enhanced at a Smithing Station, just like any other weapon.

Future Weapons in Grounded 2 WIll Have a Tough Challenge to Compete With the Mosquito Needle
In the thrilling world of Grounded 2, I’ve found myself heavily relying on the Mosquito Needle for my survival during the main quest. This bad boy stands out among a crowd of hidden weapons, holding the title as one of the most effective melee tools in the game thus far. It’s so good that I’m hesitant to swap it out until they introduce higher-tier weapons, and even then, I’m not sure if anything will beat its performance!
