On Wednesday, EA Sports unveiled details about NHL 26, including its launch date, compatible platforms, and fresh additions to the game. The main focus for this year is refining gameplay mechanics, enhancing Ultimate Team and Be A Pro modes.
NHL 26 Features
Per EA Sports, the main updates coming to NHL 26 are:
- ICE-Q 2.0 Powered by NHL Edge: “ICE-Q 2.0 utilizes powerful NHL EDGE data so you can think, move, and play like your favorite superstars.”
- X-Factors: “X-Factors enhances an arsenal of 28 abilities over five different categories.”
- Be A Pro: “A revamped Be A Pro mode allows the player to live their hockey journey from rookie to superstar.”
- HUT Seasons: “HUT Seasons is an all-new, dynamic game mode experience where every match-up matters.”
Further information about the new features will be provided in comprehensive explanations as we approach the game’s release date. Unfortunately, specific changes for the franchise mode weren’t disclosed at this time. Additionally, it was clarified that online multiplayer will only be available for World of CHEL and Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) when playing against other users.
On September 12, NHL 26 hits stores for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Not only is the game’s release date set, but it was also announced that Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk and NHL legend Keith Tkachuk will appear on the Deluxe Edition cover alongside their relative Matthew (Florida Panthers).
