The LEGO Party is set to be released on September 30th, according to the announcement by the LEGO Group. This makes it the first LEGO game to debut in 2025, although it won’t be the only one.
Introduced at Summer Game Fest 2025, LEGO Party is a multiplayer game created by SMG Studio, a company based in Sydney, Australia. Known for their work on the cooperative games Moving Out (released throughout the early 2020s) and the relaxing physics-based puzzler SPING, they are the developers behind this new title.
LEGO Party Opens Pre-Orders Alongside Release Date Announcement
Two months after the Summer Game Fest reveal of LEGO Party by SMG Studio, they’ve set a release date: September 30. As previously mentioned, the game can be played on various platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. The announcement of its release date also marks the beginning of pre-orders, which are now open across all platforms, albeit with some conditions. For instance, physical pre-orders are currently only available for the Nintendo Switch and the current-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will reportedly be digital-only.

LEGO Party Physical Edition Pre-Orders
- PS5 (Amazon) – $44.99
- Xbox Series X/S (Amazon) – $44.99
- Nintendo Switch (Amazon) – $44.99
In today’s market where video game prices are increasing, the upcoming LEGO Party game aims to distinguish itself by offering a more affordable retail price of $44.99. So far, publisher Fictions hasn’t hinted at releasing multiple versions of the game. However, they have confirmed several pre-order incentives such as five exclusive digital LEGO minifigures like Shark Singer and Candy Cheerleader. They also promised a 10% pre-order discount, but it doesn’t seem to be available yet on Amazon at the moment.

LEGO Party aims to deliver fun-filled multiplayer chaos for up to four players, who can engage in over 60 mini-games based on popular LEGO themes such as Pirates, Space, and Ninjago. This game supports both online and local split-screen multiplayer. While it presents numerous challenges, the main objective in all multiplayer matches is to gather as many Golden Bricks as you can. The game also includes extensive character customization with over a billion possible minifigure combinations.
In simpler terms, the new Lego Party game is expected to be the first Lego game of 2025, but another one called Lego Voyagers is also planned for release in 2025, though its exact launch date isn’t confirmed yet. Similar to Lego Party, Lego Voyagers will primarily focus on multiplayer and cooperative play, with a stronger emphasis on exploration and puzzle-solving rather than party games. Additionally, there are rumors that TT Games is working on another Lego game set for release in 2026.
