DeNA, the creators behind Pokémon TCG Pocket, have announced plans for a significant upgrade slated for 2025.
In their recent financial update for Q1 FY2025, DeNA shared updates on Pokémon TCG Pocket’s progress. The report highlighted that around 39 million users were actively engaging with the game each month, with nearly six out of ten virtual currency purchases originating from international markets. Moreover, the demand for subscriptions has remained consistent.
Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Major Update will Focus on Retention and Login Frequency
Concerning future strategies, DeNA shares that they’re maintaining a consistent pace when it comes to acquiring new users. However, the percentage of existing users who continue to use the service has been declining since the initial launch, making user retention a top concern. To address this issue, they are focusing on measures to boost user retention and login frequency, such as enhancing the collection experience for their users.
Developers are currently working on a significant upgrade for Pokémon TCG Pocket, with a focus on enhancing user engagement and login activity. More specifics about this update will be shared at a later date; however, we can confirm that DeNA aims to launch it by the end of this year.
