In the Japanese version of the game, Konatsu Kato will provide Hinako’s voice.

He then promises to free Hinako’s soul by eliminating her former self. The meaning behind this statement is ambiguous, but it may be connected to a crime scene involving several victims shown at the beginning of the trailer. A popular fan theory suggests that Hinako is the only survivor of a suicide pact, which could explain why another character calls her a traitor in an earlier Silent Hill trailer. Although the masked man’s enigmatic speech doesn’t disprove this theory, it raises doubts about whether Hinako really survived the tragic event. The game may still revolve around a ghostly narrative featuring this spectral entity.
