As a thrilled fan, I was on cloud nine when Skate graced us during the Future Games Show at Gamescom! The most exciting piece of news dropped: a sneak peek into a significant update scheduled for next week, with Early Access just around the corner.
After being in closed alpha testing for several months following a fifteen-year break, it appears that major updates or announcements about the game (EA title) are approaching as summer comes to an end.
At the recently presented developer interview during Future Games Show, intriguing details emerged about the project’s development, such as the advanced parkour elements, and a teaser to stay tuned for a significant announcement coming up in the near future.
Skate Poised For Big Update Ahead of Early Access
During the Future Games Show, announcements were made that match a recent communication sent to Skate enthusiasts on X (previously known as Twitter), indicating that system maintenance is scheduled from August 20 through August 26, during which time access to the game will be temporarily unavailable.
As Summer 2025 approaches as the estimated release date for Early Access, with only a few weeks remaining before September arrives and summer ends, next week’s major update might mark the beginning of Early Access.
The game titled “Skate” is expected to be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. However, it’s uncertain whether the game will also be released on Nintendo Switch 2 or if there’s a definite release date for all platforms yet.
Stay tuned to Skate’s social media platforms for the major news coming up next week. Rest assured, we’ll also provide updates about it right here at TopMob!
