Game Rant has the exclusive unveiling of not one, but two cover artworks for the fifth installment of “Godzilla Wrecks the Marvel Multiverse“. A sneak peek at this upcoming Marvel comic book is given a few months before its anticipated release in November 2025.
The ongoing comic book miniseries titled “Godzilla Wrecks the Marvel Universe” is being illustrated by Javier Garrón and written by Gerry Duggan, a well-known writer from Marvel’s “Deadpool” series. The debut issue came out on July 16, with the second one released yesterday, August 20.
The second issue of “Godzilla Destroys the Universe” is now available for purchase, and Game Rant has obtained exclusive previews of the miniseries’ final two covers. Both designs showcase Godzilla dominating its environment, with one image portraying it engaged in a confrontation against Marvel’s Mecha. As per an official summary of the comic book provided by Marvel, this mechanical behemoth will be mobilized by Black Panther during the ensuing narrative.
Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe Issue #5 Covers
In a packed edition, some of Marvel’s legendary superheroes such as Spider-Man, Captain America, and Hulk are present. As Godzilla and Marvel Mecha engage in a battle, these heroes will attempt to sway the outcome by leveraging Godzilla’s enigmatic connection with vibranium, according to the official summary. This fictional metal has been a recurring element in Marvel comics for quite some time, debuting in Daredevil #13 back in 1966. Vibranium is renowned for its extraordinary capacity to capture and retain immense amounts of energy, and it’s most frequently found in stories involving Black Panther since it’s mined exclusively within the kingdom of Wakanda in Marvel mythology.
The primary and unique covers for Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #5 were created by Mark Brooks, the co-creator of Orange Hulk. An additional five designs are in the works, such as Dave Wachter’s Marvelized Carnage-Zilla variant and John Tyler Christopher’s Action Figure variant. Cory Smith is also set to contribute an unnamed variant cover. Marvel has announced that this issue will include a much-loved fan favorite variant cover, along with another one whose title and artist are yet to be revealed.
The fifth installment of the comic series titled “Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe” is set to launch on November 19, 2025. Prior to this, Issues #3 and #4 will come out on September 24 and October 15 respectively. Similar to the first two comics, the final three issues will be offered both digitally and physically through Amazon and other authorized vendors. Each digital copy of the comic books costs $4.99 individually, while their paperback versions are priced at $17.99. No matter how the narrative unfolds in Issue #5, the official description for the upcoming comic hints that the Marvel Universe will experience permanent changes due to Godzilla’s destructive rampage.
