Xur is back in Destiny 2 once more, bringing along fresh exotic and legendary equipment for players to explore – but only for a limited period. Meanwhile, a significant shift has occurred within Destiny 2 as long-time Bungie CEO, Pete Parsons, steps down from his position. Taking over is Justin Truman, a Bungie veteran of 15 years who has held various roles at the company including engineer, designer, and General Manager for Destiny 2, as well as serving as the Chief Development Officer.
Apart from studio modifications, Bungie unveiled upcoming adjustments for Destiny 2 together with the Ash & Iron update in September. Earlier hints suggested improvements for Destiny 2’s Warlock class, but this latest blog post stirred up some debate with proposed changes to the Portal. These changes include reductions to the Solo Ops playlist, where rewards will be less potent, aiming to motivate players to interact more with Fireteam and Pinnacle Ops.
Currently, the enigmatic vendor Xur has returned to offer fresh equipment for players of Destiny 2. Here is a guide detailing his current weekend location, updates on his exotic cipher quest, and a review of all the exotic and legendary items he’s stocked for the weekend of August 15, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Now, Xur has permanently settled in The Tower’s Bazaar region, meaning you won’t have to search for him on weekends anymore.

The Bazaar is found between two quick-travel spots, allowing players to choose either one as their entry point. Once you’re in the area shared by Ikora and Hawthorne, look for the Ramen Shop against the back wall. With the shop facing you, the alley where Xur usually stands can be found to your right side.
Destiny 2 Class Armor
With the addition of the Edge of Fate expansion, Xur’s duties in the Tower have expanded slightly. Now, instead of selling legendary armor, Xur offers more exotic equipment, providing two items for each class every week. You can still find Xur’s revised inventory at the Tower Bazaar in Destiny 2.
