Dying Light: The Beast’s Castor Woods Is Split Into Several Biomes
Originally, Castor Woods was a vibrant, active destination, enveloped by majestic mountains, forests, and an awe-inspiring national park. Visitors would flock here for leisure, skiing, and nature appreciation. However, Tarnacka-Polito of Castor Woods pointed out that the place has significantly dwindled in population since its heyday. Despite this decline, the town isn’t completely abandoned.
In the upcoming game, Dying Light: The Beast, the Techland team promises that Kyle Crane will cross paths with multiple survivors. Furthermore, they hinted at the presence of formidable adversaries, headed by the enigmatic Baron.

Nestled within this sprawling, wooded region lies a picturesque landscape dotted with panoramic vistas and stone formations that echo those found in places like Poland’s Table Mountains National Park. Among the attractions here are rustic lodges, picnic spots, and the park administration headquarters. Don’t forget to pause and peruse the informational signage throughout – it provides valuable insights you won’t want to overlook.
The Industrial Park
Previously, numerous factories thrived in this area, offering employment to the nearby residents. Although a few of them shut down prior to the pandemic, their structures – including silos, storage facilities, and manufacturing centers – remain intact. These sites present intriguing possibilities for both exploration and potential acquisition.
The Workers’ District
In the early 1900s, towns formed close to industrial factories often featured worker housing. These homes were typically arranged as modest apartment blocks, with amenities like parks, shops, and open green areas for leisure nearby.
The Farmlands
A significant aspect of Castor Woods is its farmlands, reminiscent of Europe‘s rustic landscapes. In the past, the locals would cultivate unique produce for tourists to purchase. Although parts of this area have been submerged in water, it’s easy to appreciate the painstaking attention to detail that went into each farmhouse and its surrounding area.
