In the third season of Last Epoch, titled “Beneath Ancient Skies”, players were presented with an abundance of high-level content designed to test their mettle against formidable monsters known as The Rift Beasts. Tracking down and engaging these creatures, which grow stronger with each defeat, presents a significant challenge. However, the prizes for successfully subduing them make the danger all worthwhile.

In Last Epoch, learn how to acquire the distinctive Evolution’s End Amulet, a crucial item for managing the might of Rift Beasts, and elevate your character’s stats to their maximum potential.

Where To Find the Evolution’s End Amulet in Last Epoch

In contrast to the typical random loot encountered in the game Last Epoch, the Evolution’s End Amulet is a specific item that players can strategically farm and obtain. Furthermore, as players engage with Rift Beasts, they have the unique ability to enhance the power of this Unique Item. Here’s how to secure it:

  1. Find the Mysterious Rift by resetting an instance (map node) by teleporting to town, until spoting a ‘claw mark’ on the map.
  2. Enter the Mysterious Rift, and meet Sarkven Bloodhorn, following him into the depths of the dungeon, hunting monsters until reaching the nest of the Rift Beast.
  3. Once in the nest, defeat the Rift Beast and select its evolution (lineage) from three available options. Notice that once an option is selected, until players have ‘ended that lineage’ there won’t be another chance to alter the powers and abilities of the Rift Beast.
  4. Continue to look for Mysterious Rifts, and face them in their nest 3 more times, to complete an entire Lineage.
  5. Beat the beast one more time to complete the Lineage, and claim the reward from the nest, which will include the Evolution’s End Amulet.
  6. This Amulet drops with Unique grade stats (Tier 5 to 7 affixes) and can become stronger the higher the level of the players is.

To obtain the ‘lineage end’ rewards, such as the Evolution’s End Amulet, players must engage with the Rift Beast nest after defeating it for the fifth occasion.

How Does Evolution’s End Work in Last Epoch

The Amulet named “Evolution’s End” is exceptionally potent, enhancing all attributes and amplifying the damage dealt by minions. Many of the Legendary Items introduced in Season 3 revolve around the Primalist character and its power to command mighty beasts. Notably, “Evolution’s End” allows players to summon a Rift Beast whenever they reduce a Boss or Champion Monster’s health to 40%.

As a fan, I’d like to share some details about the summoned Rift Beast. This fearsome creature appears for 15 seconds in your game world. After its brief appearance, it needs a 40-second break before another summon can occur – this cooldown doesn’t overlap with other summoning items, even special ones like the Primordial Unique or Exalted Tier 7/8 items sold by Skarven Bloodhorn.

The Rift Beast will exhibit the same characteristics as the last variant of its lineage that players encountered while hunting it down. So, be prepared for a wide range of possibilities when summoning this beast!

Players can customize the characteristics of the summoned creature by selecting various evolution traits. These traits can be adjusted at will, and an amulet can be used to farm this process endlessly. As players continue to hunt Rift Beasts, they have the chance to collect a combination of Fire Head, Ice Head, and Magma Head evolution traits. With these specific traits, the summoned Rift Beast will transform into a colossal three-headed monster capable of spewing molten lava and freezing breath.
