Few anticipated such a wealth of revelations in this particular storyline, and certainly not on the grand scale that we’re witnessing now. Not only did Imu appear on this island, but we’re currently being treated to the most epic flashback in the entire series. This flashback unveils a character who effortlessly defeated the Pirate King Roger.

Although Roger played a pivotal role in the One Piece narrative, for a considerable length of the manga, very little was disclosed about him. Readers had only a vague idea of who he was, but with the introduction of Wano and Oden’s backstory, the mystery surrounding Roger began to unravel.

Currently in Elbaf, another flashback delves deeper into the life of Roger, offering fans an intriguing glimpse. Originally triggered by Harald’s memories, this flashback has expanded to encompass various characters, including Rocks and now, Roger himself. Fans are afforded a more intimate view of Roger, revealing his true nature.

Although it came as a shock to fans, Shakuyaku, who is also known as Shakky, was unveiled as the first official character confirmed to have taken down the future Pirate King, Gloriosa’s right-hand man in the Kuja Pirates at that time.

The Kuja Pirates managed to overpower and vanquish Roger’s entire crew very quickly, which was an extraordinary accomplishment. As suggested in the chapter, this wasn’t their only such victory.
