During the period from August 28th through September 4th, users of the Epic Games Store were given the opportunity to obtain both games, ‘Make Way’ and ‘Machinarium’. The summer promotion has now concluded, as previously announced by Epic. In its place, the free offers for the next phase will be ‘The Battle of Polytopia’ and ‘Monument Valley’.
The promotion for free games on Epic Games Store started just now on September 4, yet surprisingly, The Battle of Polytopia isn’t part of it initially as expected. Instead, it will be available for free from September 11 to September 18, along with Ghostrunner 2 and Monument Valley 2. The unusual shift in the release date for The Battle of Polytopia giveaway has raised some questions, suggesting there might have been an oversight.

As a dedicated fan, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming expansion of Ghostrunner 2! Unlike its predecessor, it introduces innovative features such as a grappling hook and a Sensory Boost ability that temporarily slows time during midair maneuvers. The developers, One More Level, have really outdone themselves in exploring these elements, adding layers of complexity to the gameplay, making each playthrough more immersive than the last.
Beyond these additions, players can expect exhilarating vehicular combat, with motorcycle segments taking center stage. The levels are also more open-ended now, urging us to strategize and carefully navigate through treacherous landscapes, making each journey a unique experience.
Previously, Monument Valley 2 wasn’t free on the Epic Games Store. However, Ghostrunner 2 did become part of a small giveaway towards the end of 2024, which was a component of their Christmas promotion. Since it could only be claimed for 24 hours, the upcoming giveaway will probably offer another chance for many users of the Epic Games Store to acquire these games.
