Pokemon Legends: Z-A Teasing New Generation 6 Mega Evolution

On September 4th, the game Pokemon Legends: Z-A shared an intriguing video hinting at trainers becoming overly excited about Malamar. This might suggest that the sixth-generation creature could be getting a Mega Evolution in the upcoming game. Previous leaks about Pokemon Legends: Z-A have pointed towards Malamar receiving a Mega Evolution form, but The Pokemon Company has yet to reveal more specific details.

In the realm of Pokemon, Malamar, often referred to as the Flipped Pokemon, made its debut in Pokemon X and Y as the evolved version of Inkay. This peculiar Dark and Psychic type Pokemon possesses an unusual method for evolution – you have to turn your game console upside down once Inkay reaches level 30! Although Malamar’s base stats are somewhat average, it boasts the move Topsy-Turvy that flips the stat changes of its opponent, causing their power to rebound against them. Additionally, Malamar can employ attacks like Superpower, Night Slash, and Psybeam to weaken its adversaries.

Pokemon Shares Strange Malamar Video Montage

A week after announcing Mega Hawlucha’s arrival in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, The Pokemon Company shared an enigmatic video on their social media platforms, focusing solely on Malamar. This video, titled “Malamar.mp4,” showcased people displaying excitement for Malamar in various ways. Scenes included Malamar depicted as a graffiti mural, a car filled with Malamar plush dolls and stickers, and another person dancing while wearing a Malamar t-shirt. Pokemon enthusiasts speculated that this video might be hinting towards the introduction of Mega Malamar in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, making it the second Gen 6 creature to receive a Mega form, following Mega Hawlucha.

Information about Malamar from The Pokemon Company remains scarce at the moment. However, an earlier leak hinted at Malamar potentially being part of the new Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. So far, the leaked list has accurately predicted three out of three new Mega Evolutions, with Mega Dragonite, Victreebel, and Hawlucha already unveiled in official videos.

As a diehard Pokémon fan, I’m on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A! Although there are 23 Mega Evolutions that have been leaked, they haven’t been officially confirmed yet. It’s going to be a thrilling ride leading up to the game’s launch on October 16th, as I wonder which Mega Evolutions will be unveiled beforehand and which ones will keep me guessing in-game!
