Initially, Funcom’s game, Dune: Awakening, experienced a robust launch, amassing over 189,000 players shortly after its release. However, the number of simultaneous players has significantly decreased since then, hovering around 20,000 currently. To maintain the health of the game, it’s crucial to keep active players satisfied, and a forthcoming content update might entice some long-time players who have left the game to return. Dune: Awakening Announces New Free Weekend

During this period from September 11 to September 15, the game Dune: Awakening is providing a free trial. Unlike the previous free period, there are no major limitations for players during this time. Free players can roam freely across various locations unlike before when they were restricted from visiting Harko Village, Arrakeen, and the Deep Desert. Moreover, the upcoming Chapter 2 content of Dune: Awakening will also be accessible, and its release has been brought forward to September 9 instead of September 10.

In contrast to the initial free period, this trial has no time limits, giving players ample opportunity to fully exploit it. Their advancement within the game will persist if they decide to purchase Dune: Awakening, enabling them to resume exactly where they left off during the trial.
