As a devoted fan of Hollow Knight: Silksong, I appreciate the unique healing system in this game. Unlike the previous installment where I had to heal one shard at a time, prolonging the process to full recovery, Hornet’s silk allows me to regenerate an impressive three masks once the animation finishes. What a game-changer!
As a gamer diving into Hollow Knight: Silksong, I’ve learned that the healing provided by my current method isn’t all sunshine and roses. It’s important to note that I can still get clobbered by an enemy, causing me to drop my Silk and not regenerate any health at all. To dodge this predicament, fellow adventurers might want to consider donning the protective charm known as the Warding Bell. The following guide will enlighten you on where to find this bell and its functions within the game.
How to Get the Warding Bell in Silksong
To obtain the Warding Bell, your journey begins by navigating towards the challenging-to-reach area known as the Far Fields. This involves traversing extensively through The Marrow, venturing into the Deep Docks, and engaging in combat with Lace within those depths. Continue onward from your encounter with Lace, veer to the right, and you’ll soon find yourself near the Far Fields. Stay on course, and upon reaching a vertical room filled with rising air currents, make sure to enter the smaller room ahead initially to come across Shakra, who will provide you with a map of the Far Fields.
There’s a bench and a bell tower located directly above the map’s position, however, there will be a small fee required to gain access to them. (Rosaries in this context can be replaced with “fee” or “charge”).
Following your recharge at the bench, make your way back into the central hall and descend to the very bottom-left corner. There, you’ll spot a path veering off to the left. Upon entering, it may appear as if you’ve reached a dead end, but there is an opportunity for you to leap upwards and towards the right to discover the Warding Bell resting on a corpse atop a higher platform.
What Does the Warding Bell Do in Silksong?
As a gamer, once I’ve picked up the enchanting Warding Bell, I can swap it in for my usual blue Tools. This magical Bell acts as a shield whenever I activate the Bind ability to self-heal. It’s an essential item in my inventory that outranks any other blue Tool I carry. The healing process takes some time and getting hit during it is risky, but with the Warding Bell equipped, I won’t take a single point of damage. The downside? The healing animation will be cut short. If an enemy manages to strike me at the very last moment of the Bind, I’ll still get healed and remain unscathed altogether.
