In all digital versions, Virtual Currency (VC) is crucial for NBA 2K26, as a significant amount of it is necessary for various activities. Players will need a substantial amount of VC to advance their MyCareer character, not just to participate in the Park, but also in the NBA, where Multiplayer (MP) is expected to play the role of a sixth man and potentially move up to a starting position quickly.
Players may be interested in learning efficient methods to earn Virtual Currency (VC) quickly in NBA 2K26 as they utilize it for purchasing cosmetics like shoes, jerseys, and clothing within MyCareer, and to acquire new packs and cards in MyTeam.
Play On Harder Difficulties
In offline game modes such as MyCareer within the NBA, before the draft, players can earn more virtual currency (VC) by choosing to play at higher difficulty levels. However, it’s essential that these difficulty settings aren’t excessively challenging, since both winning games and receiving good grades contribute equally towards VC rewards.
Try to find a challenging mode that you can win most games, but not all, for the best balance.
Engaging in offline games offers a consistently reliable method for accumulating VC, since these games don’t require loading screens, waiting for other players, or disconnections.
Complete MyCareer Quests & City Challenges

One effective strategy to amass VC in the year 2026 within the game could be by accomplishing tasks and trials in the MyCareer or The City sections. These daily challenges can be spotted as you navigate around the city and your personal court. To view them all, simply open the MyCareer interface, where there is a dedicated section for Quests/Challenges.
Certain tasks include making a specified amount of layups and logging a certain number of weekly rebounds, for instance. Others are more detailed and involve playing with friends. Make sure to monitor these tasks and aim to finish as many as you can. The GOAT quests are particularly worth focusing on if you’re looking to earn VC.
One Quest is to talk to Ronnie 2K about Rebirth, rewarding 10,000 VC.
MyCareer Endorsements
Only Unlocked After Being Drafted

In simpler terms, one type of quests is called Endorsements. These become available to players once they’ve progressed to the NBA level in their career. Before that, they need to go through high school in MyCareer and then move on to Europe. However, players also have the option to bypass both these stages and proceed directly to the Draft.
Among performing well on the court, players will need to increase their fan base.
The prizes for finishing Endorsement Quests are quite impressive, making it definitely beneficial to reach this point in MP’s professional journey.
Beat The MVP At The Park For 5x VC

At the park, you’ll find a marker identifying the MVP (the player with the highest reputation). Aim to win against the MVP in team games with either 2 or 3 players. By doing so, you’ll earn 5 times the VC and REP for that particular game. However, you can only challenge them every 3 hours, and it’s essential to note that you’ll need decent skills to beat them.
As a basketball enthusiast, I’m thrilled to mention that breaking win streaks at the Park could earn us some substantial Virtual Currency (VC) bonuses! You’ll even notice the Streak Breaker logos hovering above specific courts, making it clear when you have a chance to claim your reward.
For both of these new additions, check the Court Status near the entrance to the Park.
Daily Rewards

In the heart of the city, you’ll find a cluster of television screens. Among them is one called “Daily Rewards.” Drop by every normal day to have a shot at winning Virtual Coins or other prizes.
Having a higher Rep means better rewards, and some of the VC prizes are nothing to scoff at.
Watch 2KTV & Answer Correctly To Gain VC

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that you can catch up with 2KTV in multiple spots – either in the city, MyCourt, or right from the main menu. By tuning in and answering questions accurately, you stand a chance to rack up a lot of free VC! Each week brings a fresh episode, and if you happen to miss one, don’t worry – you can always revisit the previous weeks too.
Here are the answers to Episode 1 of 2KTV for NBA 2K26.
2KTV will also play while waiting for matches in modes such as The Theater and The Park.
Daily Pick ‘Em
Only Available During The NBA Season

The NBA’s 2025/26 season kicks off on October 21st, 2025. From that day forward, players can access the Daily Pick ‘Em screen, located near their MyCourt or other spots around town.
Here, you’ll have the opportunity to predict which NBA teams you believe will emerge victorious in reality. For every accurate prediction you make, you’ll receive Virtual Currency (VC).
Purchase VC With Real Money
Just in case players weren’t already aware, it is possible to purchase VC with real money.
Besides the fact that Venture Capital (VC) can be costly, it’s important to note that NBA 2K games usually have their servers shut down approximately two years after release. Although offline game modes will remain accessible, online features like MyTeam and MyCareer (including single-player MyCareer matches in the NBA) will no longer function. Consequently, any VC spent on items such as cards or upgrading Multiplayer (MP) will eventually become obsolete.
