In the realm of MMOs, I’ve found Warframe to be quite unique when it comes to its companion and pet system. Unlike many other games where pets are more for show, Warframe’s companions are true battle allies. They get right in the thick of it, dishing out damage on enemies and offering defensive support to us players, making every mission feel a bit less lonely and a whole lot more exciting!
In the world of Warframe, there’s a rich variety of different types of companions you can have by your side. Among these, robot companions stand out for their versatility. These range from hovering sentinels that team up with players to robotic dogs, each offering distinct benefits across various stages of gameplay, whether early or advanced.
Many robotic companions are designed to utilize two companion positions. One slot is dedicated to the robot companion, while the other is intended for its weapon.
Taxon
With You Since The Beginning

As a Warframe gamer, I was excited to gain my first companion – The Taxon Sentinel. This little buddy becomes yours pretty early on since it’s linked to one of the early missions: the Venus Junction on Earth. To unlock him, you just have to dive into that mission and successfully complete it, and voila! You’ll be rewarded with his blueprint.
One significant benefit of the Taxon lies in its primary feature, Molecular Conversion, which converts player’s incoming damage into protective shields for their Warframe. Furthermore, the Taxon is armed with its primary weapon, the Artax, which inflicts cold damage, causing enemies to freeze and slow down, enhancing chances of survival.
Nautilus
Part Of The Crew

In Neptune Proxima, you can obtain the necessary parts for Nautilus by successfully completing Railjack missions. Notably, Nautilus performs exceptionally well at Railjack stations. Equipped with the Auto Omni mod, Nautilus aids the player in performing repairs and putting out fires within the Railjack.
This addition also incorporates the Cordon mod, which attracts enemies towards a designated zone, making it ideal for fending off space invaders. As its weapon, Nautilus employs the Verglas, a device that discharges a cold beam and utilizes rifle upgrades. For both novice and experienced players embarking on Railjack missions, this companion will prove invaluable.
Some Sentinels have a Prime or Prisma version in addition to their standard form.
Custom MOA
The Enemy Of My Enemy…

In a common scenario, MOAs, though often seen as adversaries by the Corpus faction, can also be allies. To construct these mechanical creatures, you’ll need to progress within the Venus-based faction, Solaris United. Once you reach an adequate level and have earned sufficient reputation, you can purchase MOA components from the vendor known as Legs and put them together.
In order to construct a MOA (Mobile Armored Artillery), players will require four fundamental elements: Model, Core, Gyroscope, and Bracket. Each of these components can be chosen from several options, each having its own distinct statistics and modifications. Some parts may offer more offensive advantages, while others might provide extra health or shielding. The choice is the player’s on whether they wish to design a MOA for defensive purposes, offensive strategies, or even as a helpful hacking tool.
Helios
A Scanner Best Friend

In the context of design, Helios proves to be an invaluable asset for both beginners and seasoned players. Equipped with scan features, it facilitates codex scanning for players. Furthermore, it underscores enemy vulnerabilities, ensuring that even experienced players struggling against high-level adversaries receive assistance.
You can get Helios both at the Energy Lab section within the Dojo, and also the Fieldron component required for construction. Helios is already armed with its Deconstructor weapon, functioning as a close-range projectile and accepting melee modification.
Carrier
Unlimited Ammo

In loot shooter games, having optimal ammunition capacity is crucial, and this rule holds true for Warframe too. With the Carrier companion by your side, you’ll never need to fret about running out of ammo again. The Carrier comes equipped with an Ammo Case mod, which not only converts ammo but also provides additional storage space for it.
Essential for enduring long journeys and demanding tasks, this companion is indispensable. Equipped with its Sweeper weapon set to fire powerful shotgun blasts, it proves an excellent ally for both early-stage and late-game challenges. You can secure the blueprint for this Carrier companion from the market at a cost of 100,000 credits.
Hounds
Bad, Good Boy…

Much like Merchant Legs (MOAs), Hounds are crafted using four key components: Model, Core, Bracket, and Stabilizer. However, acquiring these parts for Hounds is arguably the most challenging part of creating any companion. You can only obtain random Hound blueprints by defeating Sisters of Parvos.
As a gamer, I find each Hound carries its own distinctive weapon – the Lacerten, Batoten, and Akaten. These weapons excel in both Impact and Slash damage. Just like my battle-hardened beast companions, these Hounds need to be ‘Gilded’ to unleash their full combat potential. If I have a high enough reputation with Solaris United, I can even speed up the process using Legs.
Dethcube
The Lethal Companion

For gamers seeking the ultimate edge in offense, the Dethcube companion offers an advantage by taking out foes effectively, whether they’re near or far. Additionally, it provides energy boosts to keep gameplay going strong. You can buy the blueprints for this powerful ally from the market.
In Warframe, the Dethcube boasts a formidable sidekick weapon – the Deth Machine Rifle. This gun has an impressive rate of high damage per second at extended ranges. When it comes to close combat, the Dethcube is equipped with an extra attack using the Vaporize mod, a potent radiation laser beam, solidifying its reputation as one of the deadliest companions in Warframe.
Djinn
Sentinel Of All Trades

A versatile entity, Djinn serves as a powerful and supportive sentinel companion, capable of dealing significant damage and offering defensive assistance to the player. This formidable ally can be obtained within the Bio Lab sector of the Dojo.
As a gamer, I wield Djinn’s Stinger, a weapon that unleashes venomous darts. With the Fatal Attraction mod equipped, my foes can’t resist getting drawn nearer to it, only to be struck down by the razor-sharp Gazal Machete.
The Djinn robot is additionally furnished with a Reawaken mod, which minimizes its recuperation period. When paired with the Sacrifice mod, it can self-destruct to resurrect its fallen master swiftly, making it ready for combat again. This dual mod setup makes Djinn the most dependable robotic ally in any Warframe gameplay.
