In Borderlands 4, all the achievements are attainable, ensuring that you can earn every trophy during a single gameplay session, without giving undue emphasis to each individual achievement.

Step 1: Earning Story-Related Trophies

As soon as you create your Vault Hunter character, you’ll find yourself drawn towards the main campaign. You can navigate to this adventure using the game map, and instead of side quests, follow the golden markers which guide your path. Completing the story not only rewards mission-specific achievements, but also grants XP to level up your character to at least Level 30. This approach allows you to unlock various achievements.

  • Crimson Rising – Reach player level 10, a simple achievement by getting XP from all sources, but mainly from missions.
  • False Idolator – Complete mission “Rush the Gate”, a story mission in Fadefields.
  • As If Moved by an Occult Hand – Complete mission “His Vile Sanctum”, a story mission in Terminus Range.
  • Long Live the Queen – Complete mission “Her Flaming Vision”, a story mission in Carcadia Burn.
  • Howling on the Moon – Complete mission “Another Day, Another Universe”, a story mission after completing the previous ones.
  • Everything Breaks – Complete mission “The Timekeeper’s Order”, the final story mission.
  • Good Hunter – Reach player level 30, simply achieved through XP rewards like quest completions.

Step 2: Complete Side Missions and Enter the Endgame

After wrapping up the main storyline, a plethora of optional quests will become accessible, such as Faction-related tasks from the Outbounders, Augers, and Electi. In total, there are 98 side missions to explore. Although you can complete these missions amidst the narrative missions, some will only appear after specific story events unfold. At this stage, it’s advisable to dive into side missions for character development, and here’s where you can earn some achievements:

This paraphrase maintains the original meaning while using more conversational language and breaking down the information into simpler steps for easier comprehension.

  • Pale Blueberry Dot – Complete all Outbounder missions, which are started from The Launchpad in the Fadefields after the story.
  • Who’s the Boss? – Complete all Auger missions, which can be started from Defiant Calder at Belton’s Bore, by meeting with the Boss in Terminus Range, after the main story.
  • Moley Money, Mole Problems – Complete all Electi missions, which begins with a visit to Carcadia in Carcadia Burn, after the main story.
  • Widely Beloved Mascot – Complete all Claptrap missions, which are found throughout the world. There are 6 in total, with 2 in each region. Claptrap gives every mission except for Potty Mouth, which is obtained at Lopside in Carcadia Burn.
  • All Things Vend – Deliver the contents of the Legendary Vending Machine, which is a mission that can be started in Carcadia by interacting with Zane’s Vending Machine outside.
  • Grassroots Campaigner – Complete all side missions, of which there are 98.
  • Master of Death and Dance – Reach player level 50, a straightforward process achieved by getting XP through missions and activities.

Step 3: Complete World Activities and Earn Collectibles

As a seasoned gamer, I’ve just wrapped up all the main and side missions, reaching the game’s maximum level. Now, with my character at its peak, it’s high time to dive into the World Activities. These can be found through contracts picked up from bounty boards in Safehouses and Faction Towns, or by uncovering map locations for various activities. Completing these tasks not only offers unique rewards but also serves as a lengthy exploration quest, as you’ll need to traverse every corner of each region to fill out the map, decode every ‘?’, and unlock new, unexplored areas. Get ready for an adventure that takes you across the entire game world!

  • Unfaded – Discover all map locations in The Fadefields, the first area of the map, which is achieved by checking your map and HUD to locate all ‘?’ on the map.
  • The Mountain Provides – Discover all map locations in Terminus Range, simply by exploring the region and ensuring it’s not grayed out on the map anymore.
  • Churn the Burn – Discover all map locations in Carcadia Burn by venturing through the region and filling out the map by visiting POIs and activities that appear on the HUD.
  • Useful Citizen – Discover all map locations in Dominion City, a circular region that’s hard to miss activities on, so simply follow the HUD.
  • Pop Out – Defeat a World boss. World bosses spawn at random in your region, so simply explore until you see a bubble appear over an area, and kill the boss that lurks inside. Leaving the bubble will despawn the boss, but they spawn in at random.
  • Ruler of Everything – Complete all activities, which include the 10 Ancient Crawlers, 7 Auger Mines, 6 Order Bunkers, and 6 Drill Sites, all available from the map.
  • The Lookbook is the Cookbook – Collect 60 cosmetics, which you will easily complete through main missions, side missions, and completing activities, as these all earn cosmetics for your Vault Hunter, ECHO-4, and your vehicle.
  • Reverse Abduction – Complete the Airship world event. Every once in a while, check your map for a unique Airship icon, and follow it to complete this challenge that spawns at random.

  • Arena Grande – Complete the Goredello world event. This world event occurs at random, so keep an eye on the map while you’re playing to find the unique symbol.
  • Shoot the Moon – Complete the Creep Impact world event. Another world event which occurs at random during gameplay, so while exploring, simply watch out for a new map icon.
  • Freelance, but Not for Free – Complete 80 contracts. Contracts are found at Safehouses and Faction Towns, and they are repeatable bounties that are especially rewarding in the endgame.
  • Catch-a-Ride – Collect all personal vehicles. There are 10 personal vehicles, and most can be obtained via missions, activities, and challenges. Check the Challenges tab in Missions to see what vehicles you’re missing.

Step 4: Clean Up the Easter Egg Trophies

This task should prove quite straightforward; it mainly involves locating hidden secrets and Easter eggs scattered across the map, which can be found anytime.

  • Glucose Guardian – Tip Moxxi, which is achieved by heading to Moxxi’s Bottoms Up in Carcadia Burn and giving the tip jar at the bar $100 or $1,000.
  • Cut That Out – Find the cutout of Dr. Patricia Tannis, which is located in the north west region of The Fadefields in The Howl. From a shack, shoot the barrels around the area in the following order: green (corrosive), light blue (cryo), red (incendiary), blue (shock), yellow (radiation).
  • Rift Incompatible – Find Oddman’s final resting place.
  • Guac is Extra – Find Dave the Burrito.

Step 5: You’re in the Endgame Now

To secure the remaining trophies, each one will necessitate some challenging end-game tasks. It’s advisable to leave these trophies until the end of your gaming journey since they will likely prove the most difficult to achieve.

  • Nothing Left to Guard – Defeat all Guardians in Primordial Vaults. Each location (except Dominion) has 3 Order Silos. By activating the Silos, you will have an area where a Vault Fragment can be located. Each region has 3 Vault Fragments and 1 Vault. Upon finding the Fragments and the Vault, you can enter inside to fight the Vault Guardian, and killing all 3 in Carcadia Burn, Fadefields, and Terminus Range, rewards this trophy.
  • I Earned This – Equip legendary gear in every slot. Players will need 4 Legendary weapons, a Legendary Repkit, Legendary Ordnance, Legendary Class Mod, Legendary Energy Shield, and Legendary Enhancement. Most of these can be obtained at random, especially in UVH5, but Wildcards, boss farms, and Maurice’s Black Market provide more guaranteed ways to get loot.
  • Area of Expertise – Complete any Gear Challenge category. From the Missions screen, head to Challenges and scroll down to find any gear you like, like Shotgun or Grenade. Complete all challenges to earn 100% within this tab.
  • Brand Equity – Complete any Manufacturer Challenge category. Scroll through the Missions tab to reach the bottom of Challenges, where you can find different weapon manufacturers, like Jakobs, Daedalus, and more. You will need to get 100% completion in one of these Challenge sets, so use a weapon type you prefer.
  • Gear Five! – Reach Ultimate Vault Hunter level 5. By completing the main story, you can complete Ultimate Vault Hunter level 1 quests. After, go to the Missions tab and select Challenges to look at the requirements for Ultimate Vault Hunter. You will need to start from UHV1 and earn your way up to UHV5 by completing the corresponding challenges, which are all boss kills, followed by a Wildcard mission.
