Battlefield 6 Dev Teases New Changes to Class System

One of the developers working on Battlefield 6 has shared that they’re making some adjustments to the Assault class based on feedback from the game’s open beta. Many players thought the Assault class was too strong, and the development team is working to balance it out before the full game launches.

Battlefield Studios clearly valued the feedback they received during last month’s *Battlefield 6* open beta. They’ve already announced several changes based on player input, and we can expect many more subtle adjustments. While there isn’t much time before the game launches to make huge overhauls, this beta period is the best way for the developers to polish and refine the final version.

Battlefield 6’s Assault Class is Being Changed From the Open Beta

In a recent interview with Edge magazine, Thomas Andersson, creative director at Ripple Effect, revealed upcoming changes to the Assault class in the next *Battlefield* game. He stated that the class system has already evolved since the open beta test. While Assault players may see some decrease in effectiveness in certain areas, they will become more valuable as team players. A key change involves moving the deploy beacon – used for spawning teammates – from the Recon class to the Assault class, making Assault players the primary point of reinforcement and encouraging them to operate behind enemy lines.

Battlefield Studios seems to be prioritizing balance in the upcoming *Battlefield 6*. Unfairly powerful weapons or character classes can quickly discourage players, so ensuring a balanced experience is key to keeping the game enjoyable for a long time. Recently, the developers announced they’re reducing the strength of the auto-spotting feature based on feedback from beta testers. It’s encouraging to see the team address these issues and make improvements before the game officially releases.

With just under a month left until *Battlefield 6* comes out on October 10th, it’s great to see fans learning more about how the game is made through interviews with the developers. Hopefully, there will still be some exciting surprises waiting for players when it launches.
