Where to Get Hot Slugger in Borderlands 4

You can find the Hot Slugger weapon randomly in most places where you get loot. But if you specifically want to farm for it, the best place to go is Craven’s Nook, which is one of the Order Bunkers in Borderlands 4.

You can get to Craven’s Nook by fast traveling to the Bones of Sanctuary and then going north. While a main story quest will take you there eventually, you can also use the map to find your way if you’re not that far along yet.

You must complete the “One Fell Swoop” quest before you can open Order Bunkers. This quest unlocks Locust Canister dispensers throughout Kairos. These canisters are essential for removing the protective bio-armor on the bunker doors.

When you get to Craven’s Nook, find a Locust dispenser on a rock slightly below the ledge to the west of the bunker door. Toss the can at the door, and then blow it open to reach the boss room.

Callous Harbinger of Annihilating Death Boss Fight

You’ll be fighting the Callous Harbinger of Annihilating Death, which is a bigger, tougher version of the standard Bulkhead enemy. It has a few more attacks, but overall it’s not too difficult. Just focus on dealing damage and try to get the Hot Slugger weapon to drop. If you don’t get it, there’s an Encore machine nearby you can use to retry the fight.

The key to defeating this boss is constant movement. It’s as tough as other Bulkheads, but it has a few surprise attacks. If you stay mobile, you should be able to dodge everything without issue.

Hot Slugger Legendary Shotgun Effect

The Hot Slugger is a powerful shotgun that fires a single, large slug. While this slug does a lot of damage, it’s slower than typical shotgun blasts. Being a Jakobs weapon, it has increased critical hit damage and can bounce shots off your primary target to hit nearby enemies if you land a critical hit.

Okay, so my Hot Slugger character gets a really nice boost when I take down an enemy. Basically, I get 30% extra damage for 10 seconds, which is awesome. And the best part? It stacks! I can get up to three of those damage boosts going at once if I keep racking up kills, making me super powerful!

The Hot Slugger pistol fires only a single bullet at a time, requiring a reload after each shot. This can be a major advantage if your character has abilities that increase the damage of the first shot fired in a magazine. Skills like Rafa’s Vitriol and First Impression work particularly well with this weapon.
