Skate is back with a new setting: the city of San Vansterdam. You can freely explore and perform tricks, or take on challenges and missions throughout the neighborhoods. Completing these earns you Rip Chips, which you can trade for valuable boxes filled with cool items and rewards. Just be mindful of your camera angle – a bad view can throw off your performance and impact your overall experience.
Great camera settings aren’t just about visuals – they can actually improve your performance and give you a better view of your surroundings. This guide will show you how to adjust your camera angle and choose the best settings for smooth skating in Skate 4.
How to Change Camera Angle in Skate 4
The camera angle in a game controls how much of the environment players can see. In *Skate*, you can adjust both the view when you’re not riding and how the game looks while you’re skateboarding, giving you more control over your experience.
You can easily adjust the field of view in *Skate 4* through the Gameplay Settings. While in the game, press the ESC key to open the main menu (the Hub). From there, either press the ‘1’ key or click the settings cog icon. This will take you to the settings menu where you can find and adjust the camera angles – and therefore the FOV – within the Gameplay section. You can set the FOV between +50 and +120, increasing it in increments of 5.
From the main menu, the Accessibility settings (you can open these by pressing the number 1 key) allow you to adjust the viewing angles for both the cameras attached to your vehicle and any external cameras.

Because *Skate* is a skateboarding game, it has lots of camera options beyond just changing how wide the view is.
