A cardboard box, a familiar sight for fans of the *Metal Gear* series, showed up in the first preview for the upcoming collaboration with *Delta Force*. This has gotten fans very excited and sparked lots of discussion, including theories and supposed leaks, about the potential partnership between the two franchises.
The *Delta Force* franchise returned in December 2024 when Team Jade, a studio under TiMi Studio Group, launched a free-to-play first-person shooter with the same name. It entered open beta on Steam, officially released on PC in January 2025, and on consoles in August. Although reviews were mixed, *Delta Force* quickly gained a dedicated player base, consistently drawing over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam. Team Jade recently hinted at new content designed to further increase player engagement.
Delta Force Possibly Teases a Team-Up with Metal Gear
The developers of *Delta Force* recently posted a teaser for an upcoming collaboration, but details are scarce. The image shows someone looking into a cardboard box, with the text “Huh, just a box?” hinting that something new is coming to the game “soon.” Fans quickly noticed the box is a common hiding spot in the *Metal Gear* series, leading to speculation and requests for *Metal Gear* characters like Big Boss and Solid Snake to be added to *Delta Force*.
A popular Metal Gear fan account on Twitter, Metal Gear Network, recently shared a leaked image hinting at a collaboration with Delta Force. The image features Naked Snake and another character wearing night-vision goggles very similar to those worn by Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. Metal Gear Network believes this Delta Force team-up might connect to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of the classic 2004 game.

While rumors suggest a possible partnership between *Delta Force* and *Metal Gear*, Team Jade hasn’t confirmed anything, leaving all options on the table. Considering both *Delta Force* launched on consoles and *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater* was released in August, a collaboration to build early excitement for both games seems likely.
