Once Human: How To Get The Logging Beaver Deviant

In the game “Once Human,” having a Logging Beaver or two at your base is highly beneficial. These beavers work tirelessly gnawing on wood, generating an endless stockpile of logs for the players. With no additional effort required from you, this resourceful duo eliminates the need to fell trees yourself.

If you intend to collect large quantities of charcoal in “Once Human,” having a Logging Beaver as an ally would be beneficial. Obtaining one, however, relies more on chance than ability. Fortunately, there’s a helpful technique that lets you restart your game, increasing your chances of discovering a beaver before others do.

To catch a Logging Beaver in its natural habitat, make a trip to Meyer’s Market situated in the Broken Delta. Your main objective will lead you there once you finish dealing with Deadsville. Upon reaching the town, find and activate the nearby teleportation tower. Then, proceed south towards the pier. Keep your eyes peeled for a Logging Beaver’s bubble as you get closer. Once spotted, approach it and hit the F key to initiate the capture process.

If no Logging Beaver is present at the pier in your current gaming world, try switching to a different world in “Once Human” by using the teleporter tower and pressing the ‘G’ key. A menu displaying all the available worlds in your game server will show up. Check each world’s pier for a Logging Beaver, and keep doing so until you find one. If none of the worlds have a Logging Beaver, return later to try again.

How To Use Logging Beavers

As a fan, I’d explain it like this: To get logs from your beavers, you’ll initially need to construct an Isolated Securement Unit for them. You can locate it under the Facility tab in the Build menu, only if you’ve unlocked its corresponding node within the Memetics screen. Once placed anywhere on your base, deposit your Logging Beaver inside the unit. The beaver will then start logging when it has enough energy, and you can collect all the logs by interacting with its Securement Unit once more.

As a gamer, I can now customize the Beaver’s actions within its secure enclosure. Initially, this Logging Beaver heads out for wood once its Deviant Power hits or exceeds 30. But by engaging with the Isolated Securement Unit and pressing the small gear icon on the screen’s right side, I can adjust the Deviant Power Threshold. This modification influences how long my beaver labors and relaxes.

As a gamer, I can tell you that increasing the Deviant Power threshold allows my base deviants to work for longer periods, but they’ll also take extended breaks. This shouldn’t significantly impact my overall gains, but it’s essential to consider this setting depending on which game server I’m playing on, be it Manibus or Evolution’s Call. If resource maximization is a priority for me in the game, then I would recommend keeping the threshold at its current value.
