The amazing adaptation of this series by Ufotable has certainly lit the spark for this series’ popularity, with the movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train establishing itself as the highest-grossing Japanese movie of all time.

In “Demon Slayer,” the engaging combat is largely due to the unique breathing methods used by each notable Demon Slayer. These powerful techniques, which are the strongest in the series, grant their users incredible abilities that can challenge even the most formidable demons.

Demon Slayer: The Best Breathing Techniques (& Who Can Use Them)

Water Breathing is one of the most beautiful and strongest breathing styles in Demon Slayer, with Tanjiro relying on a style that didn’t naturally suit him to somehow defeat a suite of powerful demons, including a former Lower Rank who did everything possible to take him out. Kyogai was no joke, and Tanjiro had to whip out some of his toughest techniques to ensure that this demon could be stopped for good.

Despite the spinning room causing instability under his feet, Tanjiro opted for the Ninth Water Breathing Technique. This form focused on continuous motion, enabling him to turn Kyogai’s unsteadiness into an advantage. He swiftly maneuvered around Kyogai’s assaults and eventually landed a decisive blow, bringing the demon to a permanent halt.

Unable to comprehend the vast difference in power between him and his weakened brother, he was driven to darkness, transforming into a demon with the sole intention of surpassing his brother’s strength and influence.

Consequently, every Sun Breathing technique is sure to be an exciting spectacle for fans of the series.

In the skilled hands of a user, even a seemingly basic move like creating a false rainbow, as seen in “Demon Slayer,” can be malicious. This maneuver leaves an illusionary afterimage, confusing enemies and providing an opportunity for a surprise attack. With split-second decisions determining battle outcomes, taking advantage of an unsuspecting demon with this technique could lead to their swift defeat.
