As a dedicated Elden Ring player with hundreds of hours under my belt, I am beyond thrilled about the latest mod in the game’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The addition of actual boss summons instead of Spirit Ash ones is a game-changer that adds an exciting new layer to the already rich and complex world of Elden Ring.
In the latest expansion, “Shadow of the Erdtree,” for Elden Ring, a fresh modification brings about significant change. Instead of relying on Spirit Ash summonings, this update introduces actual bosses from the DLC. The outcome? More thrilling and disorderly encounters, providing players an opportunity to confront some of Elden Ring’s most formidable adversaries yet.
The expansion pack, named Shadow of the Erdtree, was launched this summer, bringing a wealth of fresh content for both novice and experienced players of Elden Ring. This addition enhances the original game in numerous ways, offering new weapons, gadgets, NPCs, and noteworthy enemies to keep players engaged. The expansion boasts an impressive roster of challenges, which some may deem as FromSoftware’s most formidable boss battles yet. While Shadow of the Erdtree offers helpful tools for confronting these adversaries, the heightened level of difficulty might be a stumbling block for certain players. However, an innovative mod transforms these intimidating new bosses into cooperative allies in Elden Ring.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that in this new mod from FlippantTunic22 on Nexus Mods, I’ll be encountering a total of 11 bosses instead of the usual summons in Elden Ring. This mod is all about enhancing the Spirit Ash abilities, giving way to bosses taken from Shadow of the Erdtree. Some of these new adversaries include Messmer the Impaler and Divine Beast Dancing Lion. And let me tell you, the fun doesn’t stop there! The mod also introduces the colossal Furnace Golem, who lends a helping hand (or rather foot) in co-op mode, making for an amusing yet powerful companion.
Elden Ring Mod Allows Players to Summon Bosses
More reports indicate that additional bosses are coming for this new mod, along with a variation that includes bosses from the fundamental Elden Ring game itself. FromSoftware’s action RPGs have always been popular among modders, particularly Dark Souls which has garnered considerable attention within the modding community. The modifications for the original Dark Souls span from basic enhancements to complex shifts in gameplay mechanics, altering the action RPG into a roguelike experience.
As a dedicated gamer who’s been hooked on Elden Ring since its launch in 2022, I can’t help but marvel at the impressive work of modders in the community. These creative individuals have added countless hours of customization to my Elden Ring experience, making it even more enjoyable. However, the recent release of Shadow of the Erdtree seems to be the final chapter for this epic game.
