Watching One Piece episode 1143, I felt a lot of anticipation, especially since everyone expected Vegapunk’s message to be revealed. It didn’t happen, and I can see why some viewers were a little let down. But looking at it, the episode really seemed to be setting the stage for bigger things to come, building towards a major reveal later on.

At the start of the episode, Shaka mentioned the setup would take about ten minutes, delaying Vegapunk’s broadcast. Even though the satellites were working on repairs, people globally could still see them.

The latter three have been hiding out since the events at Marijoa. Vivi worried about Luffy, and Morgans was focused on gathering news.

On Egghead Island, Jaygarcia Saturn stayed in close communication with the other Gorosei, who were determined to stop Vegapunk. However, Saturn also had to contend with Luffy, who had fully recovered and was using his powerful Gear 5th form to hold both Kizaru and Saturn back – even managing to send them flying. Kizaru crashed onto a ship, shaken by what had happened. Saturn returned to the island to continue fighting Luffy. At the end of the episode, Saturn told the Gorosei he was about to begin a summoning ritual, but the episode cut to black before revealing what he was summoning.

Honestly, it looks like their only real option now is to find a way to get off the island.

I’m really anticipating the next One Piece episode, 1144, especially the fight between Zoro and Lucci. It feels like they’ve been battling forever, and honestly, it’s still anyone’s game. A lot of viewers think Lucci has the upper hand – he’s incredibly experienced, has powerful Haki, and his Devil Fruit ability is awakened, making him a serious threat. But you can’t count out Zoro! He’s mastered all three types of Haki and is even wielding a new sword. It’s going to be an intense fight, and I’m hoping this episode will finally give us a clearer idea of who’s going to win.
