In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, as you progress through missions and optional tasks, you’ll amass a considerable amount of loot, such as gear items and crafting materials. With an abundance of weapons and equipment at your disposal, organizing your inventory can become quite tricky, especially when customizing loadouts or quickly swapping individual items. To streamline this process, the game allows you to store excess but important gear in a storage chest. Here’s how to utilize it effectively.
How to Use the Storage Stash in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players can discover the storage boxes hidden within each unlocked Kakurega or the one located in the Hideout. To find it, seek a large, wooden chest in the room and move towards it to display the “access storage” prompt. Upon entering the menu, you will notice two options: ‘deposit’ and ‘withdraw’.
Users have the freedom to choose any item from their collection by scrolling through the menu of weapons, armor, and accessories. After placing an item in storage, they can also take it out again by navigating to the ‘withdraw’ section, finding the appropriate gear category, and withdrawing the selected item.
In the game AC Shadows, since there isn’t a character weight system, it’s beneficial to keep excess items in storage instead. This declutters your inventory, ensuring you only carry gear that will be useful when exploring the open world.
Should You Stash Unnecessary Loot or Sell/Dismantle it?
Stowing your weapons in the cache could assist in decluttering your inventory, but is there a more productive way to manage surplus items? Absolutely, here are two alternative methods you can employ for efficiently managing the essential loot in your inventory and even gain from it.
One approach is to break down unwanted equipment. Make your way to Heiji in the Hideout and have a conversation with him. Then, select the Dismantle option and pick an item of gear. The type of gear you dismantle will yield materials such as Iron Sand, Leather, Hemp Cloth, Silk, among others. This is an effective method to discard excess loot if you’re looking to gather materials for weapon upgrades.
Instead, consider offloading excess gear at a local Armament Dealer found in any of the settlements. While this method might not yield a large amount of Mon, it’s useful when you find yourself with unwanted weapons and require immediate funds.
