As a long-time fan of action RPGs with a deep appreciation for intricately designed worlds and engaging narratives, I couldn’t be more thrilled that Remnant 2 is now available to download via PlayStation Plus! The first game left an indelible mark on me with its sense of wonder, exploration, and the myriad choices that shaped each playthrough experience.
PlayStation Plus members now have the opportunity to download Remnant 2, recently announced as available by Gunfire Games and Arc Games, for free. If you have an Extra or Premium subscription, you’re all set to get it immediately.
In the regular version of the game, you won’t find the downloadable content (DLC) that has been released thus far, such as “The Forgotten Kingdom” and “The Awakened King.” However, the standard edition still offers an extensive gaming experience.
In our assessment of Remnant 2, we expressed that the feeling of awe, intrigue, and exploratory excitement is undeniable, whether playing alone or with others. Each time you pass through a new threshold, you’re venturing into an unknown dungeon or area; every shrouded boss door conceals an unpredictable battle, as you never know what lies ahead. There are hidden treasures galore, some of which you’ll overlook on your initial exploration. Furthermore, there are various options within each realm: deciding whom to eliminate, whom to support; whether to submit or resist; and whether to rescue a world or condemn it for your own gain. Although it has minor flaws, Remnant 2 continues to be one of the most imaginative, captivating, and intriguing games released in recent years, demonstrating the incredible potential of this developer when they strive to astonish.
In addition to Remnant 2, you have the option to obtain Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion and Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord for PlayStation 4 and 5. Other games are being added to our collection as well, which you can explore further through Sony’s official blog post, found here.
As a dedicated gamer, I’d be happy to share some information about PlayStation Plus and its different tiers. There are three levels – Essential, Extra, and Premium. The Essential tier is the foundation, allowing me to enjoy multiplayer gaming and receive new titles every month. The Extra level takes it up a notch by granting access to the game catalog where these new games reside. Lastly, the Premium tier has all the perks of Essential and Extra, plus the added benefits of cloud gaming and the classic games library. Currently, the Essential games for this month are Borderlands 3, EA Sports NHL 24, and Among Us.
