Now is the Perfect Time for a Cult Horror Crossover in Dead by Daylight

As a dedicated fan of both horror games and the Dead Rising franchise, I firmly believe that Dead Rising is the next best IP for Dead by Daylight to cross over with. The addition of licensed characters in Dead by Daylight has brought new excitement and freshness to the game, drawing in fans of various franchises and adding unique playstyles and perks.

One horror franchise not yet included in “Dead by Daylight” could potentially seize the chance to become part of this popular survival horror game. The diverse roster of characters in “Dead by Daylight” makes it akin to “Super Smash Bros.” for the horror genre. Despite numerous IPs already present, there’s still space for more. Intriguingly, one franchise stands out as a strong contender for the next collaboration with “Dead by Daylight.” This opportunity could mark a significant milestone for the franchise within the game.

As a huge fan of Dead by Daylight, I can’t help but appreciate the significance of the game’s numerous crossovers. From my perspective, these collaborations have brought in a fresh wave of excitement and engagement. For instance, when a new Killer joins the roster, it introduces an entirely new playstyle that keeps the experience feeling dynamic and unpredictable. Similarly, Survivors and Killers alike bring unique perks to the table, which can potentially shift the meta and keep things interesting.

Dead Rising Has More Reason Than Ever to Cross Over Into Dead by Daylight

Dead Rising’s Remaster is Bringing the Series Back to Relevance

As a die-hard fan of the Dead Rising series, I was thrilled to my bones when Capcom unexpectedly announced the release of the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster in 2024. It had been a long eight years since Dead Rising 4 hit the shelves in 2016, leaving fans like me feeling somewhat deserted. This remaster isn’t just a welcome return for us loyal followers; it’s an opportunity to bring the original game back into the limelight and remind everyone why we fell in love with the series in the first place. If Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a hit, it could potentially breathe new life into the franchise, leading to more remasters or even new games. And let’s not forget that the game dropping in September makes it an excellent candidate for a crossover event with Dead by Daylight – just in time for Halloween!

Dead Rising Could Give Dead by Daylight Plenty of Content

Frank West from “Dead Rising,” known for being the franchise’s recognizable face, would make an excellent addition to the roster of playable characters in “Dead by Daylight.” With Willamette Mall and Fortune City as potential locations, “Dead Rising” offers rich content for this survival horror game. As for a suitable killer from the series, Adam MacIntyre is a strong candidate, but given that there’s already a clown character, alternatives such as Brock Mason or TK could be considered instead.

Capcom and Behaviour Previously Collaborated For the Resident Evil Crossovers

There are other reasons why a Dead Rising collaboration would make sense as well. Dead by Daylight crossed over with Resident Evil twice, in addition to adding extra cosmetics. Not only is Resident Evil another Capcom IP, but it’s a far bigger franchise than Dead Rising. Since Capcom has already allowed Resident Evil to be the star of two different chapters, it’s clearly open to working with Behaviour. With Dead Rising set for a potential comeback, it could follow in those footsteps. It’s not definitive proof, but it’s a decent argument for a Dead Rising chapter in the future.

As a seasoned gamer like Frank West from Dead Rising, I can easily imagine myself joining forces with Alan Wake and Lara Croft in Dead by Daylight. It’d be an honor to represent another iconic video game character in this thrilling survival horror experience.

The return of Dead Rising could be even more exciting if it teamed up with a new chapter in Dead by Daylight. Given the strong possibilities for survivor, map, and killer elements in Dead Rising, it seems like an ideal candidate for a crossover with Dead by Daylight. Moreover, the timing would be perfect if this collaboration was released around September to correspond with the launch of the remaster. The prospect of a Dead Rising chapter in Dead by Daylight is particularly enticing at this moment.
