Imp Head (Lion) Location In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

As an avid Elden Ring player and explorer of its vast, interconnected world, I can’t help but be thrilled at the discovery of a new, optional piece of armor: the Imp Helm (Lion). This headpiece, hidden away in the Scorpion River Catacombs, offers a unique look and some valuable stats that cater to various playstyles.

In Elden Ring’s DLC, there are vast expanses that extend beyond the primary narrative, offering players the opportunity to delve into captivating side dungeons and catacombs with great enthusiasm.

In simpler terms, there’s a unique Helm hidden within the Scorpion River Catacombs, an extra level in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Players can access this area without defeating any bosses, allowing them to acquire this Armor piece at an early stage of the game. This guide provides details on the Imp Head (Lion)’s stats and location within Shadow of the Erdtree.

Imp Head (Lion) Helm Overview & Stats

A golem’s head covering, mostly untouched, resembles a playful lion and barely holds on to its vitality.

In “Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree,” there’s a Helm named independently, not part of any specific Armor Set. Its weight comes in at 8.1, making it lighter than many other Helms in the game. This Helm offers a boost to your Vigor by two points and grants Poise between 3-4. Though seemingly insignificant, these bonuses can be beneficial during combat. The design of this Helm resembles that of other Imp Head pieces.

Where To Find Imp Head (Lion) Helm Set Location

Imp Head (Lion) Location In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

To obtain the Helm, make your way to Scorpion River Catacombs, an early game location. Begin by traveling northeast from Moorth Ruins until you reach Temple Town Ruins. From there, head north up Ravine North, and you will eventually arrive at the Catacombs.

Take the elevator ride and engage with the Site of Grace. Pass through the threshold and face a bridge up ahead in the next room. Hurry across as a statue in this area causes a harmful status effect called Deathblight. Descend the stairway to your left, keeping an eye out for an Imp hiding on the right ready to pounce. In the following chamber, you’ll find stairs on your left leading down to a room with Bigmouth Imp. If desired, you can eliminate this Imp and proceed south by going down the staircase.

As you reach the top of the stairs, be on the lookout, a ceiling spike trap is poised to descend and potentially harm you.

Once it has retreated, you can advance, keeping a safe distance. Be mindful of a trap on your right which you need to avoid and then follow the wall on its right side to find a ladder. You will recognize the correct location when you spot several Messmer Soldiers stationed northwest of you, protecting the Black Knight Captain Huw’s Spirit Ashes.

Where To After The Spike Traps

Hurry up and ascend the ladder to your right, bypassing the bridge’s left side as another Deathblight statue lies ahead. Once you reach the bridge’s end, turn northeast for a view of the wall’s edge. Jump down from there to cross over to the other side. Proceed past the statue and watch out for the falling spike trap above. To avoid it, leap onto the trap and then jump to the northwest platform where you will discover a deceased body holding an Imp Head (Lion). Grab the loot to claim your reward.
