All Hidden Side Mission Locations in Borderlands 4

Okay, so I’m a huge Borderlands 4 player, and I was going crazy trying to find *all* the side missions! There are 98 total, and while most just pop up as you explore the world and hit those question marks on the map, some are totally hidden. I noticed my ‘Grassroots Campaigner’ challenge in the Challenges menu – under the ‘World’ tab – was stuck around 93/98, which meant I was missing a few. If you’re in the same boat, don’t worry! I’ve put together a guide listing every hidden side mission in the game, plus exactly what you need to do to unlock them. Hopefully, it’ll help you get that challenge completed!

Breeding Daisies

If you head west from The Launchpad’s headquarters in The Howl of the Fadefields, you’ll come across a man named Mort sitting on a rock, being harassed by Threshers near Gushing Turret. Once you defeat the Threshers, you can talk to Mort, who will ask for your help with a side mission called ‘Breeding Daisies.’ This mission requires you to enter a cave and kill Threshers to collect their eggs, which Mort intends to raise as his own farmhands.

Whack-a-Thresher

Mort’s farm is located just south of The Kit Hole Order Silo, which is west of The Launchpad. Once you finish the ‘Breeding Daisies’ quest, you can visit Mort and start a new side mission called ‘Whack-a-Thresher’. It’s a straightforward mission where you simply need to punch and stomp on unruly Threshers to get them back to work.

Forgive Me

How to Find Zanzibart’s Final Resting Place in Borderlands 4

Go south from The Reliquary Order Silo in the Cuspid Climb area of Terminus Range. You’ll find a cave hidden behind a waterfall and marked by a large creature’s skull. Use your grapple to enter the cave, following the path to the right. At the back of the cave, you’ll encounter a powerful enemy called a Badass Psycho. Defeating it will reward you with the Desecrated Bolt and start a new side mission called “Forgive Me.”

Players now need to locate Zanzibart’s tomb, which isn’t shown on the map. To find it, go to the northern part of Stoneblood Forest (north of the Snowy Wells safehouse) and glide down into the cave entrance. There, you’ll place the Desecrated Bolt on a shrine and battle the Cursed Myrmidon of the Cruel Dawn. Finally, you’ll need to listen to a lengthy monologue from an NPC named Vycarias, the Lore-Singer, before the quest is finished.

The Neverending Quarry

Head to the Ironwall Resolve Order Bunker in Dominion’s Terminus District. Before going up the main stairs, turn right into a small room with a red chest. Be careful – the chest explodes when you open it! This explosion starts the side mission, “The Neverending Quarry.” It’s an easy mission: just defeat the group of Rippers that appear after the initial dialogue. Completing “The Neverending Quarry” is necessary to unlock the next mission in this series.

A Quarry of Epic Proportions

While still in the Terminus District, use the fast travel station at Frantic Scrawl and go through the tunnel heading north. You’ll find a single vending machine, but be careful-it’s a trap! Interacting with it will trigger an explosion, so step back quickly. Doing so will start the side mission, “A Quarry of Epic Proportions,” and another group of Rippers will attack. It’s a larger ambush than before, but a skilled Vault Hunter should be able to defeat them. Once they’re down, the mission will be complete, leaving only one more quest to finish.

The Final Quarrel

Stay in the Terminus District and go to the southwest to find The Food Court Safehouse. Inside, head north to a dead end where you’ll see a single dumpster. When you open it, it will explode, just like the other traps you’ve found. This starts the Side Mission: The Final Quarrel. After you defeat Horatio and his Rippers, the mission is complete. With Horatio gone, you won’t have to worry about any more of his traps.

Brew-Ha-Ha

You can start the Brew-Ha-Ha side mission after finishing two other missions: Hangover Helper from Ole Shammy and Mob Justice with The Boss in Terminus Range. Completing these will unlock more side missions in The Pit, as well as a new one from Ole Shammy. To see if Brew-Ha-Ha is the mission you need, just go back to Shammy’s Shack in the Coastal Bonescape of The Fadefields.
