As a die-hard fan of college football and a long-time player of the NCAA Football franchise, I am both thrilled and disappointed with the early access release of EA Sports College Football 25. On one hand, it’s amazing to finally have a new entry in the series after an eleven-year hiatus. The gameplay is as smooth and engaging as ever, and the graphics have been significantly upgraded.
As a long-time fan of college football and video games, I was thrilled when Electronic Arts (EA) announced the release of EA Sports College Football 25 in early access for select buyers. However, my excitement quickly faded as I delved deeper into the game and discovered several outdated logos, including that of Stanford University.
EA Sports’ long-awaited college football game, titled “NCAA Football 25,” is set to hit shelves on July 19, marking the first installment in the franchise in over a decade. For years, EA had been working on a new entry, but progress was frequently halted due to licensing complications. Unfortunately, some early access users recently noticed an error with Stanford University’s logo: instead of displaying the correct one, which features a white tree behind a red capital S, the game incorrectly uses a reverse color scheme.
EA has admitted that logos for certain universities like Stanford, Western Michigan, and Jacksonville State are outdated. The San Francisco Gate reports that EA plans to rectify this issue with an initial batch of updates within approximately two weeks. It’s oddly inconsistent, as the accurate logo is already displayed on helmets and at the game’s center, but remains incorrectly depicted on the scoreboard at Stanford University Stadium.

Additionally, some players encountered an issue in “College Football 25” preventing them from entering Dynasty Mode. Instead of the expected mode interface, they saw “Lorem Ipsum” text placeholders. A few gamers managed to bypass this by playing offline, but others were unable to resolve it.
EA Sports College Football 25 Has Issues After Early Access Release, But It’s Still a Huge Hit
During the early access stage of EA Sports College Football 25, the game has encountered several problems. Nevertheless, it’s clear that the title has achieved significant success. An impressive 700,000 plus players engaged in online gameplay shortly after the early access began. This large number is noteworthy given that many users are yet to receive full access to the game, which is scheduled for July 19. Here’s hoping that EA addresses these issues promptly and enhances the gaming experience for fans of top-tier sports games.
