How To Reach Castle Watering Hole In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing intricate game worlds, I can confidently say that Elden Ring’s navigation is unlike any other AAA title I’ve played. One wrong turn or overlooked detail could mean missing out on entire expanses of the game. This was particularly true for me during my journey to discover the elusive Castle Watering Hole.

In Elden Ring, getting around is unlike most big-budget games. A seemingly insignificant route could actually unveil an entirely new area, leaving vast territories undiscovered if you’re not careful enough.

An intriguing location to explore is the Castle Watering Hole, where you’ll encounter hidden walls camouflaged as illusions, navigate through a waterfall, and enter a coffin, among other challenges. Reaching this spot might leave some players perplexed. However, this guide will walk you through each step necessary to find your way to the Castle Watering Hole.

How To Get To Castle Watering Hole

As a devoted fan of “Shadow of the Erdtree,” I can tell you that to access the enchanting Castle Watering Hole, you’ll initially need to conquer the challenge at the Main Gate Plaza – Sanctuary of Serenity. Reaching this triumphant milestone is achievable only after overcoming the formidable optional boss, the Golden Hippopotamus. Brace yourself for an encounter that’s among the game’s most testing, so make sure you’re fully equipped with your finest gear before setting out on this thrilling quest.

After triumphing over the boss and discovering a new Site of Grace, I recommend making my way northwest through the doorway and scaling the staircase that awaits. Be cautious as you climb, keeping an eye out for sneaky foes trying to ambush you. Once you’ve reached the dining hall with its pair of Black Knight adversaries, look for the southeastern exit and traverse the bridge beyond it.

Keep moving east. Bypass the sets of stairs leading up and steer clear of adversaries. Look out for a ladder on your left side. Once you’ve found it, climb down and swim under the waterfall to your right. Next, you’ll encounter another ladder in front of you. Descend once more and head east. In the following chamber, locate the southwest corner and hit the deceptive wall to make it vanish. Pass through the newly formed passageway and take a left at its end.

Approach the coffin before you, preparing for a mystical travel. Walk right through the door that lies ahead. Bravo, you’ve made it to the Castle Watering Hole! Be cautious around the Furnace Golem roaming nearby, and don’t forget to engage with the Site of Grace on your left to save time on future journeys.
