In simpler terms, Cosmog is a legendary Pokemon that can be found alone in the Alola region and is of the Psychic type. Its CP in Pokemon GO is relatively low at 489, but it increases once players evolve this creature. After evolving Cosmog into Cosmoem, players can later transform it into Solgaleo or Lunala. The true worth of Cosmog becomes apparent after evolution, with an impressive moveset and stat distribution. Many trainers are curious if they can obtain Shiny Cosmog and Shiny Cosmoem. How To Get Cosmog In Pokemon GO
As a dedicated Pokemon GO gamer, I’ve come to realize that catching the elusive Nebula Pokemon, Cosmog, in the wild isn’t an option. Currently, there are only two ways to do so: finish Part 1 of A Cosmic Companion and make it through the entire Starry Skies Special Research.
A Cosmic Companion
On September 1, 2022, at 10 AM in local time, the creators of Pokemon GO introduced Cosmog to players through a special research mission called “A Cosmic Companion.”

How To Get Cosmoem In Pokemon GO
In Pokemon GO, you can’t evolve a Cosmoem directly; instead, you need to obtain a Cosmog and then use 25 Cosmog Candy for its evolution. However, collecting enough Cosmog Candy can be quite challenging. To earn these candies, trainers must finish specific tasks assigned in the “A Cosmic Companion” Special Research.
In Pokemon GO, Cosmoem is a single Psychic-type creature with a top CP of 924. Originating from the Alola region, Cosmoem has a defensive stat distribution with 54 attack points, 242 defense points, and 125 stamina points. After obtaining a Cosmoem, trainers can evolve it into either Solgaleo or Lunala under specific circumstances.
Pokemon GO: Can Cosmog And Cosmoem Be Shiny?
Players can finish various tasks to obtain a Cosmog and subsequently evolve it into a Cosmoem. However, Shiny versions of Cosmog and Cosmoem have yet to appear in Pokemon GO. It’s worth mentioning that Niantic typically introduces a creature’s standard and shiny forms at different times or events. Given that the standard forms were released a year ago, it’s possible that Shiny Cosmog and Shiny Cosmoem will be introduced in future events.
