However, a build focused on her Flux Generator green skill tree is also excellent. By choosing the right skills and weapons, you can ensure Harlowe has unlimited ammo and consistently lands Critical Hits. Neutron Decay (5/5) Whenever Harlowe Irradiates an enemy, she gains increased Gun Damage. This effect stacks. Radiation weapons and their Status Effect will increase all Gun Damage with a max of +50%.
Creative Overflow (3/3) Harlowe deals increased Gun Damage based on her Overshield. The more Overshield she has, the bigger the bonus. Up to +36% bonus Gun Damage, which is easily achieved with the skills listed and the Super Soldier Shield.
Resonance Cascade (3/3) Whenever Harlowe deals Radiation Damage to an enemy, she gains increased Action Skill Damage. This effect stacks. Use Radiation weapons to gain more damage.
Nuclear Winter (Augment) Whenever Harlowe and her allies are inside the Flux Generator’s Radius, they deal Bonus Cryo Damage. Whenever Harlowe and her allies leave the Flux Generator’s Radius, they instead deal Bonus Radiation Damage for a Duration. Whenever Harlowe inflcits Cryo or Radiation Status Effects, that enemy becomes Entangled. Entangle enemies to increase Critical Hit Damage and chance simply by staying near your Action Skill.
Excited State (5/5) Harlowe gains increased Critical Hit Damage. Whenever an enemy is damaged by Harlowe’s Action Skill, the next shot on that enemy will be an Automatic Critical Hit. Essentially permanent Automatic Critical Hit by staying near Harlowe’s Action Skill.
Distribution Function (4/5) Whenever Harlowe’s Action Skill damages an enemy, restore a portion of her and her Allies Shield Capacity. If their Shields are full, gain Overshield instead. Overshield regeneration means more Gun Damage thanks to previous skills acquired.
Accretion (1/5) Harlowe and her allies gain Lifesteal against Entangled enemies. Entangle an enemy to ensure you constantly have a source of healing outside of Repkits.
Group Study (Capstone) Harlowe spawns a HALO Sidekick for each ally instead of her Flux Generator. HALO Sidekicks automatically fly to each ally and hvoer near them, granting increased Gun Damage, Fire Rate, and Reload Speed. Action Skill Retrigger: Overload Harlowe’s HALO Sidekick to increase their effects. This effect stacks. While Overloaded, Harlowe’s Action Skill Duration drains faster. Critical Funding (5/5) Whenever Harlowe Critically Hits an enemy, she gains a chance to Entangle it, and Refills a portion of her Gun’s Magazine. Not only will Harlowe be getting easy Critical Hits, but Entangling means more damage, and infinite ammo with this skill, especially for Heavy Weapon Ordnance.
Meltdown (5/5) Harlowe’s Critical Hits with Guns deal Bonus Radiation Damage. More Radiation Damage means more Damage overall.
Cyclotron (3/5) Harlowe gains increased Fire Rate. Faster firing weapons is always a treat.
Field-Ready Prototype (2/5) Harlowe gains increased Action Skill Damage. More damage from the Flux Generator Action Skill abilities.
Elementary (2/5) Harlowe gains increased Elemental Damage and Status Effect Damage. Helps make Radiation more impactful.

This build revolves around using Harlowe’s Action Skill to stay inside its Energy Field, which significantly boosts her stats. Critically, the field almost guarantees critical hits, which refills your ammo – even for powerful Ordnance weapons like rocket launchers. Essentially, you activate your Flux Generator, stay in the field, and fire your rocket launcher repeatedly. This creates a cycle of infinite ammo and increasingly powerful, critical hits, allowing you to defeat bosses incredibly quickly, even on the highest difficulty (UVH5). The build focuses on maximizing Gun Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Fire Rate, and how long you can use Ordnance weapons to quickly eliminate enemies and bosses.

Best Weapons and Gear for Flux Generator Harlowe in Borderlands 4

The key to this incredibly powerful build is the Rocket Socket Heavy Weapon Ordnance. This Epic Torgue Rocket Launcher has an ideal combination of perks: it fires two rockets at once with Two-Shot and boasts a +30% increased fire rate, all while dealing Radiation damage. This makes it the fastest-firing rocket launcher available, effectively doubling your damage output and significantly increasing your chances of critical hits – plus, it refunds ammo for virtually unlimited firepower. When you’re not using the Rocket Socket, feel free to use any weapon you prefer, but we found the Luty Madlad from Mimicron (found in the Tipping Point Order Bunker in Idolator’s Noose) to be particularly effective due to its high fire rate.

Next, let’s talk about the Super Soldier Shield. You get it by defeating Vile Lictor in the Umbral Foundry area of Windspear, Terminus Range, after completing the ‘His Vile Sanctum’ quest. The Super Soldier Shield gives you an extra layer of protection (Overshield) when your Energy Shield is full, and also boosts your fire rate, movement speed, and how quickly your ammo refills. It’s the best shield to use with Harlowe because its benefits really complement her abilities.

For the Repkit, we chose Shiny War Paint because it increases both your fire rate and movement speed when used. You can get it from the Meathead Riders at the Ripper Drill Site in Cuspid Climb, Terminus Range. As for Harlowe’s Class Mod, look for one that boosts Gun Damage and Action Skill Damage. We recommend the Reactor Legendary Class Mod, as it provides stacks of Movement Speed, Gun Damage, Fire Rate, Reload Speed, and Status Effect Damage when you use Harlowe’s Action Skill to entangle enemies. Reactor is currently a random drop, but it’s supposed to be found by defeating Primordial Guardian Inceptus in the Vault located in the Dissected Plateau of the Fadefields. Finally, the Enhancement doesn’t matter too much, but try to find one that increases Gun Damage.

First, focus on putting 20 points into Brute, specifically for the ‘Riddle You This’ perk, which boosts your gun damage by up to 50% just by using guns. Next, put 10 points into Survivor, then 20 into Gadgeteer to unlock ‘Full Spectrum Arsenal’ and ‘Fragmentation Payload’. These perks increase damage with explosives and allow them to critically hit. With any remaining points, consider 10 in Runner, 10 in Sharpshooter, and 10 in Daredevil to get the ‘I Am A Gun’ skill, though any other skill will work for your final choice.
