Early in *Silent Hill f*, while exploring Ebisugaoka, you’ll come across a house that’s essential to the story. It has two locked doors and an enemy inside. Your objective is to investigate the house, and if you’re stuck on what to do with the Back Door Key – or where to find it – this guide can help.

How to Find the Back Door Key in Silent Hill f

Go upstairs and into the first room. You’ll find the Bloody Key on the floor, attached to a disturbing face. You’ll need this key to escape and continue the story of *Silent Hill f*. To get the Back Door Key, leave that room and head across the hall – watch out for the monster! – and go into the next room. Quickly grab the Back Door Key from the back corner, near some boxes.

Where to Use the Back Door Key in Silent Hill f

Now that you have the Back Door Key, go back past the monster and down the stairs. Head to the opposite side of the house to find the only other locked door, which leads to the backyard. It might look like a dead end, but you’ll discover a small ladder that leads to the Whale Omamori. You can equip these to your character, and they provide various benefits.

This Whale ability prevents enemies from interrupting your use of healing items with a standard attack. Keep in mind, it doesn’t protect against *all* attacks, though.

Just so you know, after you leave this house in *Silent Hill f* and save the game, the Back Door Key won’t work anymore. This means you’ll miss out on getting the Whale Omamori if you do that.
