In *Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds*, Grands Prix are sets of four races you can play offline. Drivers score points in each race, and the game starts with 8 different Grands Prix. Each Grand Prix has 3 unique tracks, and the last race combines sections from all the previous tracks in that Grand Prix, giving the winner a bigger points boost.
At the beginning of the game, two Grand Prix are initially unavailable, and it’s not immediately obvious how to unlock all of them in *Sonic CrossWorlds*. Additional Grand Prix, featuring crossover content, will be added later as free downloadable content for players who own the Digital Deluxe edition. The first of these updates, including courses based on *Minecraft* and *SpongeBob SquarePants*, is scheduled to be released in October 2025.
How To Unlock The Egg Grand Prix In Sonic CrossWorlds
The Egg Grand Prix is the seventh race, and you can unlock it by winning all six of the races that come before it.
You can win the Grands Prix at any difficulty level, even the easiest one. You’re also welcome to adjust the difficulty as you go – start with the easiest settings and then increase the challenge if you want more competitive races.
If you have a poor result in one race that hurts your overall Grand Prix chances, it’s quicker to use a few Donpa Tickets to retry that specific race rather than starting the entire Grand Prix over.

How To Unlock The Secret Grand Prix In Sonic CrossWorlds
Despite its name, The Secret Grand Prix isn’t actually hidden. It’s just locked at the beginning of the game and needs to be unlocked to play.
You can unlock the Secret Grand Prix by winning the Egg Grand Prix, but first you need to win the previous six Grand Prix. The difficulty level doesn’t matter! Using powerful Gadgets in *Sonic CrossWorlds* will also increase your chances of winning races.
Okay, so I’ve learned that the random rival the game gives me is probably going to be my biggest competition for first place. I should definitely focus my attack items on slowing them down or messing with their progress!

If you enjoy a good challenge, you can try unlocking the most difficult levels in Sonic CrossWorlds. For an even tougher experience, you’ll need to compete against highly skilled players in online races.

How To Unlock Super Sonic Speed Difficulty
- Win the 7 Grand Prix (excluding Secret and CrossWorld Grand Prix) at Sonic Speed.
This is the only time difficulty matters when unlocking something.
How To Unlock Mirror Sonic Speed Difficulty
- Win all 7 Grand Prix (excluding Secret and CrossWorld Grand Prix) to unlock.
Mirror Sonic Speed completely changes the direction of the track. Turns that normally lead left will now send you right, and vice versa.
