Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes Devs Detail How The Game Has Changed the Most

As a long-time fan of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, I am beyond excited about the game’s upcoming PC release and the numerous changes that have been implemented since my last visit to the holotable. The evolution of the Galactic Conquest mode is particularly noteworthy, offering an entirely new experience for players who haven’t been around since 2021.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, which has been the leading mobile Star Wars game for nearly nine years, is now expanding its horizons with a new PC client in Early Access. Players can connect their existing accounts to this version and enjoy larger screens, customizable keyboard shortcuts, smoother performance, and improved graphics.

With the shift to PC platform, many previous “Star Wars” gacha game players are expected to return and explore this supposedly enhanced version before its Early Access launch. In an exclusive interview with Game Rant prior to the release, Capital Games producers Caley and Chelsea shared their insights on the most significant changes that returning players may encounter since their last engagement with the game.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes’ Galactic Conquest Mode Is A Massive Change

In simpler terms, Chelsea highlights the Galactic Conquest mode as a notable feature. Introduced in 2021, this expansive gameplay option is unfamiliar to newcomers. It allows players to navigate branching paths, choosing which teams to confront and what rewards to pursue. Additionally, there are various consumable items at their disposal to enhance their teams during challenging encounters.

In simpler terms, Galactic War has transformed into Conquest, making it a more expansive game mode compared to its earlier version. For players who remember Galactic War from the past, this is now a much larger experience. A new feature called territory battle maps lets you move across various planets in the galaxy instead of being confined to one planet. Moreover, we’re continuously adding new planets, resulting in an ever-evolving system. Instead of having fewer large raids spaced out over long periods, we now offer smaller, more frequent raids for a quicker and more engaging experience.

In simpler terms, the major events introducing new characters in Galaxy of Heroes have been revamped, enabling players to face them daily for earning more shards. The tempo of raid launches has quickened as well, resulting in a greater diversity of raid material for returning players. Essentially, there’s an abundance of fresh content compared to just a few years ago.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes’ New Events Add More Variety

Caley indicated several upgrades to old game features that would bring delight to players returning for another round. New Assault Battles have been introduced, including Fanatical Devotion which challenges the accumulated Inquisitorius character collection of players, and fresh Episode I content such as the Battle for Naboo raid commemorating The Phantom Menace’s 25th anniversary and the All the Queen’s Men event showcasing Padawan Obi-Wan.

We’ve made updates to the Grand Arena Championship, we’ve made updates to raids, we’ve made updates to the way we do our marquee events, and we’ve made updates to new Legendary Assault Battles. Our latest one was All The Queen’s Men, where you got to fight Darth Maul with Obi Wan and Qui Gon, which was so fun. I can’t wait for more of those.

Players coming back to Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes on PC will be blown away by the large volume of fresh content, characters, and game modes that have been added, thanks to a recent update. New players, too, can jump in easily with an accelerated leveling process that grants access to a wider range of characters and spaceships.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is free to play on mobile and enters PC Early Access on July 17.
