Naruto: Kishimoto Confirms A Ninja Even Greater Than God Of Shinobi Hashirama Senju

Throughout the popular Naruto series, creator Masashi Kishimoto presented many amazing ninja, and Hashirama Senju – often called the God of Shinobi – was arguably the most important. As the First Hokage of Konoha, Hashirama founded the village itself. He was considered the strongest ninja of his time, and even long after he passed away, people continued to respect him as an unmatched force.

Hashirama was a very powerful ninja, but he wasn’t the strongest character in the *Naruto* series. As the story progressed, Kishimoto introduced many other incredibly skilled ninjas, and some surpassed Hashirama in power. Kishimoto specifically stated that Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke’s older brother, was a greater ninja than Hashirama, having single-handedly prevented a civil war in Konoha through his difficult choices.

Whenever people talk about Itachi Uchiha, it’s clear he was incredibly talented – truly one of the best ninjas ever. Even as a kid, he was a prodigy, and it’s no surprise he became a Chunin at a really young age, and then quickly rose to be an Anbu captain. He was just naturally gifted.

After unlocking his Mangekyo Sharingan, Itachi became incredibly powerful – a true force to be reckoned with. He was so strong that even the renowned Legendary Sannin seemed weak in comparison. Itachi surpassed the level of a Kage, and he accomplished all of this before reaching his full potential.

When we call a ninja “great,” it doesn’t always mean they were the strongest. While Itachi Uchiha was an amazing ninja, he wasn’t as powerful as Hashirama Senju, who many fans consider a legendary figure with Madara Uchiha as his only equal. Itachi was certainly strong, but when the creator, Kishimoto, said Itachi was a greater ninja, he meant Itachi did more to help create peace and protect the village, and that’s definitely accurate.

Itachi was a more skilled and courageous ninja than Hashirama. He secretly protected the village many times, even though it meant being seen as a villain and sacrificing his own family. His bravery was so remarkable that, after learning the truth about his actions, Hashirama acknowledged Itachi as the superior shinobi.

Sasuke believed Itachi gave up everything he had and suffered a ruined reputation to protect their village.

Itachi Uchiha did something incredible for the Hidden Leaf Village, preventing a devastating war. However, he was also a complex character. He made the difficult decision to kill many innocent members of his own clan, including children, to protect the village and, especially, his brother Sasuke. While Danzo forced him into a terrible situation and limited his options, some believe Itachi ultimately caused Sasuke more pain than benefit. Despite this, many, including Hashirama, considered him to be the greatest ninja ever.
