Pokemon GO is Temporarily Unavailable in One Area

Players in a specific location are currently experiencing issues with Pokemon GO, preventing them from playing during a major in-game event. The popular mobile game has been exciting fans lately with a new season and the introduction of many new Pokemon. The “Tales of Transformation” season has added creatures like Dudunsparce and Dynamax Duraludon throughout September, but now, this event is being disrupted for some players.

In addition to the ‘Tales of Transformation’ update, *Pokemon GO* is hosting ‘City Safari’ events in several major cities around the globe this weekend. These events, taking place in North America, Europe, and Asia, will feature more Pokemon appearing in the wild and special versions of Eevee and its evolutions wearing Explorer’s Hats. Unfortunately, *Pokemon GO* is currently unavailable in one city.

Players in Bangkok attending the Pokémon GO City Safari event are experiencing temporary gameplay issues. Niantic, the game’s developer, has confirmed a suspension of play in a specific area of the city due to a sinkhole. While the exact size of the affected area isn’t known, Niantic advises players to be careful while participating in the event, implying the issue isn’t city-wide. There have been no announcements regarding changes to the event schedule.

Pokemon GO is Temporarily Unavailable in Bangkok

Man, the temporary shutdown of *Pokemon GO* really upset a lot of players, especially those of us who were actually *at* the event. A bunch of us are hoping Niantic will either extend the event or move it, because it feels super unfair to those of us who spent money to travel there. What’s really frustrating is that Niantic hasn’t even given us a clue how long things will be down in Bangkok – the whole two-day event could be ruined because of that sinkhole!

Even though the latest event in *Pokemon GO* had some initial problems, Niantic has plenty more planned for players. They’ve announced that Dipplin and Hydrapple, two Pokemon from *Pokemon Scarlet and Violet*, will be added to the game in early October. Plus, Mega Metagross, hinted at with the launch of Tales of Transformation, will officially appear in *Pokemon GO* with a special Mega Raid Day the first weekend of October. Players in Bangkok are hoping the recent real-world issues are quickly fixed so everyone can enjoy the City Safari event.
