Fire Emblem Heroes: Rearmed Reinhardt (Thrud Reborn) Best IVs and Build Guide

As a seasoned player with years of experience in the world of Fire Emblem Heroes, I can wholeheartedly appreciate the versatility and potential of Rearmed Reinhardt. Having spent countless hours refining my roster and experimenting with various builds, I’ve come to understand that sometimes, the most effective units are those who leverage their unique abilities to the fullest.

I’m a huge fan of Fire Emblem Heroes, and one of my favorite limited 5-star units is none other than Rearmed Reinhardt, also called Thrud Reborn Reinhardt. This impressive character hails from the game itself and marks the fourth appearance of Reinhardt in Fire Emblem history. In an earlier saga, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, Reinhardt was a noble mage knight commander in Friege’s military, and he held a significant role as the personal guardian to the revered Goddess of Thunder, Ishtar.

In the game “Fire Emblem Heroes,” Rearmed Reinhardt is a Blue Tome Cavalry character, identical to his previous form named Thunder’s Fist. This article will discuss the optimal Individual Values (IVs) and build for the revamped version of Reinhardt.

In his updated form, Reinhardt, named Rearmed Reinhardt, keeps his distinctive feature of striking enemies twice during the start of battle using an exclusive skill called Thunder’s Fist. Moreover, Rearmed Reinhardt boasts a significantly faster base speed than before, which was not present in his earlier versions. With approximately double the base speed compared to them, Rearmed Reinhardt can easily outrun opponents and potentially execute up to four successive attacks at the beginning of battle.

Level 40 Base Stats (Without Skills) [Asset/Neutral/Flaw]
HP Atk Spd Def Res
44/41/37 49/46/43 48/45/41 26/22/19 23/20/17

Rearmed Reinhardt’s best Asset is +Atk, with the preferred Flaw being -Res. An Atk Asset further enhances Reinhardt’s nuking power, allowing him to take down many units head-on, especially with his weapon, Arcane Thunder. Res is Reinhardt’s lowest stat, making it the safest choice for a Flaw since magic damage poses less of a threat to him compared to physical damage. While a Spd Asset is a viable option to ensure follow-up attacks, it is less efficient than Atk due to his already high base Spd.

Merging units in FEH gets rid of any Flaws.

Rearmed Reinhardt Best Skill Build
Weapon Skill Arcane Thunder: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, grants Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack), and neutralizes foe’s bonuses to Spd/Res (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) during combat, and also, if unit’s Spd > foe’s Spd, neutralizes effects that guarantee foe’s follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit’s follow-up attacks during combat.
Assist Skill Reposition: Moves adjacent ally to opposite side of unit.
Special Skill Moonbow: Treats foe’s Def/Res as if reduced by 30% during combat.
A Passive Thunder’s Fist: At start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+7 to unit during combat and deals damage = 15% of unit’s Atk (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and also, if unit initiates combat, reduces damage from foe’s first attack by 50% during combat, and if number of spaces from unit’s start position to end position ≥ 2, unit attacks twice.
B Passive Occultist’s Strike: If unit initiates combat, deals 7 damage to foe as combat begins (effects that reduce damage during combat do not apply; will not reduce foe’s HP below 1), inflicts Spd/Res-4 on foe during combat, and deals damage = 20% of foe’s Res (excluding area-of-effect Specials).
C Passive Incite Atk/Spd: At start of turn, if number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 2, grants Atk/Spd+6 and [Incited] to unit for 1 turn. If number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 1, grants Atk/Spd+3 to unit during combat. [Incited] If unit initiates combat, grants bonus to unit’s Atk/Spd/Def/Res = number of spaces from start position to end position of unit during combat (max 3; that turn only).
Sacred Seal Blade Session 3: If unit initiates combat, grants bonus to unit’s Atk/Spd during combat = 3 + number of allies who have already acted x 3 (min value of 3).

Reinhardt’s optimal setup utilizes his capability to launch several attacks with Arcane Thunder and Thunder’s Fist, plus his high base Speed for starting battles. To boost his battle effectiveness, skills such as Occultist’s Strike, Incite Atk/Spd, and Blade Session 3 are recommended. These abilities increase Reinhardt’s chances of defeating enemies before they strike back. If enemies manage to counterattack, Reinhardt’s build offers defensive stat boosts and damage reduction, enhancing his survival chances.

Instead of using Occulist’s Strike and Incite Atk/Spd which are harder to obtain, Reinhardt’s economical setup employs his native abilities S/R Far Trace 4 and Def/Res Smoke 3. Although it has less personal attacking prowess, this cost-effective option boosts allies with enhanced mobility and offensive stats. With just Reposition and Moonbow as prerequisites, which are widely accessible skills, Reinhardt’s budget build retains solid offensive capabilities without relying on uncommon talents.
